This hotel is not bad at all! I have stayed in so many hotels all over the world, and the service attitude, hygienic conditions, and cost performance of this hotel are the worst I have ever seen. I called the front desk and the courtesy service many times but couldn't get through. The power went out several times when I took a shower at night, and the whole room was completely dark. I called to ask for an explanation, but the front desk ignored me. The balcony is not as big as shown in the picture at all, we are arranged with a small triangular balcony on the side. The balcony glass is still dirty, and I started to get skin allergies after staying for a day. Originally booked for 4 nights, only stayed for one night. I can't stand it. The breakfast in the morning was also terrible, there were so many people, there were no seats, and you ended up sharing a table with others. Most of the staff in this hotel do not speak English well, and it is difficult to communicate.

We found the food excellent. We took full advantage of the free room service and found it great. The only issue we had was with our transportation reservation with a mini van given we were a group of 6. Both times the reservation was lost but the concierge and ground people at the airport were excellent to correct the issue. From the outside looking in it appears they need a better reservation system that contacts the mini van company a head of time. Back to positive the service at the pool was exquisite. I walked to the bar a total two times. The other hundred times we were served promptly, accurately and with a smile. Overall a great vacation and highly recommend this location.

I didn’t like how far it is from the walled city. Also the tablet to order room service in the room was down for 2 days and could be fixed because it was a weekend and techs don’t work on weekends. There should be a cheaper form of transportation because paying 70.000 for a cab to the walled city is kind of expensive.

Everything was filthy. Mold in the bathroom. They have cats by the bar and where you eat outside. Two cats literally jumped in my food. I’m highly allergic to cats. My friend as well. She ended up leaving after the second day. The managers acted as if they didn’t know they had cats. Food is bland. There’s barely any hot water. Beds were dirty! Just stay away.

This was my second time staying at this resort. First time for a wedding and my second time to celebrate my birthday here. By far never fails to impress me. Such a beautiful resort and great amenities—- wonderful staff that is always willing to help your needs. The resort and rooms are very clean and there is hot water and AC. I’ll definitely come to Dreams Karibana CTG again, im excited to try the other locations that dreams offers. I’d recommend to go to the city. Cartagena is a beautiful place with so much culture. I’ve loved everything about this trip and cannot wait to come back again. Dreams Karibana, Colombia estas en mi corazón!! 🇨🇴♥️
