Such an amazing experience. When you book be aware it is not just a lodge… but the whole experience. The place is beautiful and peaceful. Besides, you have amazing views and trails near the house. The staff is awesome… Yanina cooked one of the best foods of our trip!! And Felix was always a very kind and helpful guy! Last, of course, Charlie was the best host ever… gave us some trekking tips, help with transportation and a nice chatting! Everyone should spend some time in this beautiful place!

Stayed here for 3D2N. Great location with spectacular views, very close to the Huascaran National Park. Charlie is super nice and helpful! Love the trails he recommended - the Yanapacha trailhead + Laguna 69 is amazing!!! If not staying at the lodge these trips won’t be possible.

Saying goodbye to CB Lodge was bittersweet. This place wasn't just a stay, it was an experience. I would like to thank Charlie for reminding us the importance of the "be here now" philosophy, it totally made the difference. We also appreciated the frank conversations and suggestions for our day hikes. From the moment we arrived, we were received with a delicious supper, and a warm and confortable room. It was clear that the lodge was designed for relaxation and connection. I doubt there is a better view when you are having breakfast or reading a book in a hammock. Additionally, it is super convenient because you are just next to the Huascaran National Park entrance. You don’t have to spend 5-7 hours per day in a minibus coming from Huaraz. We also enjoyed the company of the ‘security team’, the three Rhodesian Ridgeback that double as hiking guides. Cordillera Blanca Lodge is a place that will forever hold a special place in our memories, a constant nudge to slow down and appreciate the beauty of the present moment. If you're searching for a place to reconnect with yourself and your surroundings, and as a convenient starting point to explore the Cordillera Blanca look no further. You won't be disappointed!

The lodge is amazing! I went with some friends for 4 days and we had an incredible time. It is far from all the noise and traffic from the city, surrounded by trees, mountains and the amazing Cordillera Blanca. The lodge is very clean, comfy and the food is amazing. We met Charlie (the owner), an incredible person and host! We did Lake 69 trail guided by Charlie and our experience was way better that we expected. I recommend 100% this lodge, you will not regret.

We had a wonderful time here. Everyone was helpful and kind. We were able to set off on foot for several hikes. The rooms are super cozy with little wood burning stoves. Dinner was served every evening and it was always delicious! I would absolutely stay here again and definitely recommend it to others!

This lodge is so cool and well run ! It is the perfect location to the park and many day treks. Accommodations are modern and the food is great. I very much suggest staying at this lodge during your time in the mountains. They are knowledgeable, organized, and the views are spectacular.

To put it simply, if you’re coming to the Huaraz area and want to experience the outdoors, there is no better place than Llanganuco Mountain Lodge. The lodge’s owner, Charlie, has spent nearly two decades building the ideal spot for adventuring. The experience he has handcrafted starts with the property itself. About two hours from the cacophony of Huaraz and 45 minutes from Yungay, the lodge is nestled in the Cordillera Blanca mountain range with a stunning view of icy Huandoy, the two mighty peaks of Huascaran, the valley below, and Cordillera Negra in the distance. This is the PERFECT springboard to all the famous hikes in the area – Lake 69, Ice of Huandoy, Llangunaco Lakes, and more! On top of the most popular ones, Charlie will share with you several hikes that will leave you breathless and you will not see a single other person on the trail. We never spent more than 45 minutes driving to a trek and for most of them we were able to literally walk from the lodge to the trailhead. From our room there were panoramic views of the mountains that would take your breath away. You’re above 12,500ft (3,500m) so it can get chilly at night but there was a wood stoves that is lit every afternoon making the rooms exceptionally cozy. Amenities that you wouldn’t normally expect, like potable tap water and being able to flush your toilet paper down the toilet are standard. Charlie’s respect of the outdoors is shown through sustainable choices like solar panels for electricity and recycling for every type of material. If you are looking to work remote – look no farther. The lawn where you will enjoy breakfast (or laying out in a hammock) has access to lightning fast Starlink which was 100% dependable during our visit. The food is exactly what any adventurer needs. Every morning the housekeeper and chef extraordinaire, Yanina, prepares fresh fruit, juice, and a hearty plate of eggs, avocado, bread (or pancakes), and a protein. The lunch consists of a couple packed sandwiches, fresh fruit, dehydrated fruits, and nuts with raisins since you’ll be on the trail seeing the sights. Dinner was always in the main lodge and consisted of three courses – a soup with bread, a Peruvian entrée (lomo saltado, aji de gallina, etc.) and then a dessert. You’ll be stuffed by the end of the meal but will not want to stop eating since it's so delicious! As you can tell by this long review, my wife and I couldn’t have been happier staying at the Llanganuco Mountain Lodge. Charlie is such an amazing individual and what he’s created from the ground up is nothing short of remarkable. We’re so thankful we had the opportunity to have met him and stayed at his beautiful lodge!

A (very well) hidden gem in the mountains. Went out to explore Peru with the family and got to this great lodge. All the necessary amenities (hot water, wood burning fireplace, etc) while surrounded by the most stunning scenery. Breathtaking views and hikes! (Literally, a great place to get used to the thin air) located a 3.8k meters above sea level this great site serves as a perfect starting point for trekking (Llanganuco & 69 Lagoon). We were able to disconnect from the grid in order to reconnect as a family. Charlie has a great team helping out at all times (Janina and Felix) so you will get some good healthy food during your stay. Kids had fun (zip line galore) plus lots of open space to roam I will be recommending this place to friends and tourists. Finding the place can be tricky, but once you do, you are surely not to forget.
