Verna is an excellent host with lots of knowledge locally and of Canada in general. She provided a lovely night's accommodation and breakfast the following morning in a quiet suburb of Calgary, overlooking the Bow River Valley to the Olympic Showground beyond. I thoroughly recommend this comfortable and well equipped B&B.

Trip was for a family member with a medical emergency (non life threatening). I booked it while still at the hospital and arrived dead tired with an issue - the room I booked was only available for 2 nights. I told them I need 3 nights at least, I didn't care what type of room. They not only upgraded me for free but gave me an incredible discount because my daughter was in the hospital. The only proof I had was my parking pass for the hospital and that was enough for them. It is about a 10 minute drive from the Foothills Medical Centre. I never made it down to the pool or hot tub but the jacuzzi tub in my room worked beautifully! The bed was very comfortable and the suite even had real dishes and utensils! Everything was clean, my suite was quiet and everyone was so nice! It was no trouble to extend my stay (we had to wait for her surgery, no guaranteed date or time). I had two meals at the attached Denny's, service and food was very good. There was a Safeway between the hotel and the hospital so it was convenient. There are 2 gas stations across the street. Front of hotel faces Olympic Park. The only downside was no decaf coffee in the room or in the lobby but that is not a dealbreaker for me. I always pack my own decaf tea anyway. There are plenty of fast food places within a 2 minute walk.

Visited relatives here and booked for one night. Great hotel, very clean. The staff was amazing, friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. We could hear the neighbors when they came back but luckily they were quiet and had free earplugs if needed :). The breakfast buffet was exactly what we needed and what you expected: scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, potatoes, bread, cereal, etc. The service was also very good! If you stay here, it is highly recommended.

The plan is not as good as the changing trip to Calgary. Fortunately, it was a great surprise and joy along the River Ridge Hotel. I stayed for 4 consecutive nights. The room space, facilities, common living room layout and breakfast snacks were all done in place and intimate. It’s really comfortable to make breakfast and sit in the sun every morning. The hotel environment is not to mention, just by the Bao River, there are two different styles of riverside parks at both ends. Even if you visit the hotel around the hotel, you can enjoy the autumn colors and different scenery of Canada.

The newly built ALT hotel makes for an enjoyable stay. A mix of business and leisure guests select this hotel. The room design is well-thought-out, and everything in the hotel room is new. The reception staff is polite and helpful, and the maids do a great job cleaning the rooms. In every room are a big TV screen, electrically operated curtains, a small refrigerator, iron and ironing board, air-conditioning/heating, water kettle or coffee maker, and plenty of quality soap, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. The beds are most comfortable, with excellent linen and high-end pillows. There is a well-lit work corner with a small table. However, there is no security safe in the room. Only the twin-bed rooms (not the king-bed rooms) have a microwave; there was no room service, restaurant, or breakfast in the hotel when this review was prepared. There is no bathroom scale in the rooms or a weight scale in the gym if you need to weigh your luggage. The Wi-Fi connection in the hotel is spotty, with occasional long lags. There is, however, a wired internet port to connect a laptop with a network cable. The hotel is pet friendly but should confine pets and their owners to the lower floors and designate the upper floors as pet-free. At the corner, across the street from the hotel, is a big supermarket with a diner and pharmacy. There are several restaurants and burger joints close by, some minutes' walk. The CF Market Shopping mall is 700 meters away, about a 15-20 minute walk. Overall, a comfortable stay at a good hotel.

It was a different room type than the bathtub room the night before. The front desk said I need to change rooms. I planned to extend my stay without having to change rooms. Call Ctrip and thank the girl who coordinated with the agent and hotel within half an hour.
