We spent 8 nights in Reef and Beach resort at the beginning of May. Due to the delayed flight, we arrived the resort quite late but the hotel ensured that we had sandwiches and fruits when checked in. Nice touch. We stayed in the mangrove suite, simple but fine for us. Aircon worked perfectly, plenty of hot water for shower. Meals in the all inclusive restaurant were good with varied dishes to try on the themed nights...minor things were ”beer not cold enough”. Tasty snacks were available in the afternoon, no chance of getting hungry! During our stay, weather was a mixture of occasional downpour and sunshine. The beach was rocky with extreme high and low tide. One day the tide was so high and strong that the jetty was damaged. This is nature! Hotel acknowledged the inconvenience and provided free excursion to Paje. There were some building work in the hotel which were fenced off. Hopefully, the resort will have a new look when completed for the busier season. Colobus monkeys were seen every morning, very cute but we didn't find any nocturnal bushbabies. Before our arrival, we did our research of the resort, its location, beach and culture - all have lived up to our expectations👍. A big thank you to the helpful and friendly staff 👏😊💕 !!

We’ve enjoyed our stay at Aluna! The staff was great and the beach was nearby! The food was delicious and we recommend the hotel to other travellers! Paje is a great place to stay as this location at the island is not too crowded and has also great restaurant in the vicinity to give it a try!

This hotel is ideally located in the old Stone Town, in the middle of the small streets with its small stores, near the seafront and its good restaurants and the port for excursions, We stayed there 2 days completely enough to visit the city where we are fast tired of being asked without stop by shop sellers or other ...The reception is very sympathetic,we came to get us at the airport for $20, The rooms are spacious and very original we loved very much we had a superior room, good quality price, good breakfast on the roof terrace.The hotel organizes transfers at a good price.For us points Negative : very hard bed and shower : little water .

I traveled to Zanzibar after climbing Kilimanjaro this past July and decided to stay at The Seyyida. I had originally booked this trip for 2020 but we all know how that story ended…The staff at The Seyyida were generous enough to move my booking to 2021, andddd then again to 2022 when my trekking group postponed the trip a second time (still due to Covid). The hotel itself is beautiful. I had a room with a ocean view and I felt like royalty. The bed was HUGE, the bathroom lovely, and the balcony (albeit small) offered a *STUNNING* view. They offer to spray mosquito repellent every night and, although I do highly recommend taking them up on this offer, it does have quite a lingering smell. So plan to be out of your room for dinner or a tour for a couple of hours. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful and offers an amazing view of the city and ocean. The hotel staff was nothing short of amazing. When my hair dryer broke, they found me another. When I needed more towels, they brought me them immediately. When my driver never showed up for a a tour I had booked, they arranged for a new tour and a driver was there in 5min. They mailed a postcard for me when I asked where the bearer post office was! They let me leave my suitcases there after I checked out because my ferry wasn’t until the afternoon—and they even helped me carry my *very* large duffel (from climbing the mountain) all the way to the ferry!!! I also had an amazing massage here on a rainy day when I wasn’t sure what to fill my day with. The front lobby is unreachable by car, but it is perfectly located, and quick/easy by foot to meet a driver on the road. Within walking distance of so much. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked lovely as well. It’s not very big, but big enough to sit and relax. Cannot speak highly enough about the wonderful front desk workers (and all other staff) and this beautiful place.

This hotel was amazing! The owner was really kind and helped us out a lot with food and offered excursions and day trips. The service and staff were amazing. I wish we stayed longer as the food was amazing and right on the beach - which was beautiful and crystal clear. I definitely recommend staying here and I would definitely definitely definitely come back :)

OMG this place is truly the embodiment of luxury without being stuffy or pretentious. The location is paradise, on the ocean, with lovely sunrise and sunset views. The attention to detail in the check-in process and decor is magnificent. The food choices are exceptional and despite there being many food and drinks options, everything actually tastes good. The staff make the experience though. They were all so helpful and genuinely kind. By far, this was one of my best resort stays ever
