Briars Hall Hotel

The room was clean and comfortable although very cramped. Promised range of hair and body products turned out to be just soap dispensers above basin and in the shower. Room was very cold in the evenings. On returning each evening we had to search out a member of staff to give us keys to the room. On our second day we were given a rack of toast at breakfast after which staff disappeared without enquiring. Too fed up by then to chase the promised cooked breakfast. Wouldn't recommend.

Great wedding from start to finish. Staff at Briars Hall couldn’t do enough for us to make our day so special. Special thanks to Mark, Karen and Steve who were amazing from our very first visit. Thank you all so much for:) Will definitely be recommending this wonderful venue with its beautiful surroundings.

Perfect venue for our celebration and fundraiser. Gorgeous venue, plenty of parking, rooms available in the hotel for those who wished to stay. The staff were phenomenal from start to finish. The event ran without a hitch- thank you so much.

A nice welcome when we arrived, situated not too far from Ormskirk where we were visiting. We were welcome by the bar team as there was nobody on the desk but they were very helpful and attentive. The hotel had a very rustic feel which gave it a lovely character, the furniture and room was a bit dated but this added to the rustic old fashioned character. The room was clean, tidy and very warm on the first floor of the hotel. We returned from our event at midnight and the hotel was locked. Despite ringing the night Porter Bell and attempting to phone, we were locked out of the hotel for nearly ten minutes in the cold weather until a member of the domestic staff opened the door. Otherwise a lovely night away, this would be my only complaint that the reception staff were missing upon arrival and no night Porter/waiting a long time to get in on our return. We enjoyed the breakfast, vegetarian option also available if you ask the waitress who was very friendly and helpful.

Catherine and I chose Briars Hall for a small 20 person intimate wedding. We could not have chosen better. Everything was first class from the planning to the quality of the rooms particularly 225, and above all the attitude and performance of the Team. The food was excellent and everything went exactly as planned. Particular mention to Steven who was MC on the day for his total professionalism, also to Lauren for her assistance from the day we enquired to final check out. Karen supported us with the planning so thanks also to her. Would 100% recommend, you won't be disappointed!

Went to a wedding here on the 7th March . I booked a room for a couple of nights and I can honestly say the beds and pillows were amazing . The room was lovely and was immaculate . Everything about my stay and the wedding was superb . Staff were so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The wedding venue itself was lovely and the room was perfect. The food was delicious , piping hot and served beautifully . Breakfast was also delicious . I cannot honestly fault this place in any way and I wouldn't hesitate to return . Thanks to all the management and staff for making my friends wedding an absolutely beautiful day .

I organised my Wife's 40th Birthday bash for ten adults and four kids. Lauren made it easy to communicate and we even went up and got shown around and where they could host us before booking. All my questions were answered and they catered for all our needs. On the night Steve and the staff were brilliant and the food was amazing. I will definitely be coming back for a meal and highly recommend to anyone for all occasions. Thanks again.

The room was amazing, we had a room that was separate to the hotel, had a double & single bed with walk in shower. Function room was beautiful, food and service was excellent. If had to find a fault only thing wrong was breakfast food was good but no side plate to butter and jam toast on. Overall and fantastic night.

Stayed over weekend. Bar area is lovely, staff are nice and polite. Food was good. Could offer more of a range of food. We stayed in the family room which was basic. There was nowhere for my products in the bathroom, not so much as a shelf! My double bed was two singles pushed together which was incredibly uncomfortable. Pillows were the worst. The worst thing of the whole stay was how hot the room and hotel was. It was like staying in mid summer! Even though I turned the radiator off and had the window wide open it was still too hot to sleep with a duvet. Breakfast was okay. Wouldn’t recommend
