We called here a couple of times for drinks whilst on a Christmas break away. I must say the Manor is stunning and the grounds are beautiful. The employees we met whilst here were so friendly and took time out to make sure we were comfortable and couldn't do enough for us. It was really interesting to hear the history of the Manor. We also had the opportunity of meeting the owners one night, and what a lovely couple they are. They also gave my doggy alfie a Christmas present which was extremely thoughtful, thankyou he loves it so much. Hope to see you all again Best wishes becci, carl, Barry and alfie. X

Ground; I visited this hotel midway en route to Swansea. The ground is absolutely stunning, peaceful and has lots of greenery. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Room :We stayed in room 1 which is warm, spacious, very comfortable with an old charm. Absolutely worth every penny ! Food: We were truly excited about the menu as it looked ambitious and inspirational. All dishes presented beautifully but flavours combination of their adventurous dishes could be something that I have to adjust. I don’t think they do a la carte as the customer has to opt out either 2 courses for £39.99 or 4 courses for £54.99. The dessert is absolutely to die for though. The breakfast was again beautifully presented with an exciting breakfast menu. I got confused at one point as I ordered the baked egg but it turned out to be a fried egg on top of Baba Ganoush. Overall: With a little tweak on flavours combination and food delivery, this hotel will be one of the most amazing dine and stay destinations to visit in Wales.

My partner and I recently had an overnight stay at the Caer Beris. We throughly enjoyed every second of our stay and from start to finish we were looked after. Our evening meal was delicious and breakfast was amazing. The hotel grounds are stunning and our upgraded room was beautiful and so clean. Following our evening meal, we wanted to venture into Builth Wells, and the owner Omar kindly gave us a lift. Which was a nice touch. We will definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully be returning soon.

My wife and I spent two nights at the hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary.Whist the building has an impressive initial appearance clearly there are areas that require maintenance and updating. Our room was comfortable but the bathroom needed a complete refurb. We had dinner both nights ,the first feeling rushed particularly when we were told the kitchen would close at 9:00 .We weren't served the amuse bouch until 7:50 so there was a feeling of plates being briskly whisked away. Whilst the food was not bad it was a somewhat confused fusion of flavours which clashed through a somewhat heavy handed use of spices.By 10:00 there were visible signs that the restaurant was being cleared and were were politely asked to move to the lounge. We had pondered trying the taster menu for next evenings dinner but felt that being seated at 6:00 and having 14 courses there was a distinct risk of another timed dining experience. We stayed with the a la carte but upon arrival at 7:30 were shown into the sp****ly populated function room and seated ,just two of us ,at a table better suited for 8-10. This being our wedding anniversary dinner was the most miserable experience . We were left for 30 mins before somebody noticed that we had been seated. I spoke to a waitress who offered an apology as both my wife and I expressed our disappointment. The striking feature on both nights was the lack of experienced waiting staff ,who whilst performing their function perfectly well, failed to recognise that dining out is not just about the food but the whole experience.Mid way through the meal we were asked if we would like to move into the restaurant which we declined.Obviously there is nobody overseeing the restaurant and service. We were offered a 20% discount as a goodwill gesture. Having seen the Hotel Inspector programme it appeared that the hotel was hoping to become a food destination which was what largely prompted our stay. Sadly on this experience there are too many things which need attention to make us want to make a return visit.

This hotel is a very special place. Set amongst beautiful, landscaped gardens beside the River Irfon, it has a peacefulness and tranquillity all of its own. The hotel oozes class and the interior rooms are magnificent. The staff are so friendly. An ideal place to relax, unwind or explore the beautiful countryside of Mid-Wales.

We had a very comfortable week's stay at this hotel - beautifully decorated for Christmas - in the Wye Suite, a very large room en suite room with a view over the extensive grounds and river. Our two terriers were allowed to join us. The staff were friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. Excellent choice for breakfast. It's an old house with very traditional decor and furniture. We enjoyed it very much.

Wonderful couple of days stay. Everybody very friendly and welcoming. Extremely dog friendly, we requested a ground floor room with walk in shower and that’s exactly what we received. It had been recently renovated to a very high standard. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, they even allowed our dog to eat in the conservatory with us rather than leave him in the room. Set in the most beautiful grounds with lots of walks for humans and dogs. Highly recommended.

My husband and myself stayed at the hotel last weekend for might. The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and our room was lovely, with a comfy bed, nice bedding, large tv and classy bathroom. The breakfast was really exceptional with plenty of choice and the hot portion of breakfast was cooked separately as it was ordered, all food was of excellent quality. However, the room we were in, which was on the front of the hotel, needs black out curtains as the light from outside shone straight through the existing curtains. Also, it would be a good idea if the evening meal could include something a.little less expensive than £39, perhaps a bar meal as not everyone who visits needs a 2 or 3 course meal.
