The location is very good. There is a hot pot restaurant next to it. It is located in the city center. It is very convenient to take a taxi there. However, because it was built around 1933, there is a bit of smell in the room.

Two night pre-cruise stop. Reception quick and efficient. Arrived very early but able to access room plus breakfast for two for $40 which was great. Room large, clean but basic. Everything worked - safe, TV although more sockets, USB would be welcome. Higher floors would be better for city views. Bed large and comfortable. Breakfast basic but more than adequate. Spa and pool available if wish. Hotel bar was good value. Location great - Just off Av. de Mayo and 10 min walk to central square. Area safe enough although quiet after dark. Lots of varied eateries nearby. Hotel and BA good value for money especially if purchase pesos when here.

We were very comfortable and we were very comfortable and we were very comfortable and we were very comfortable and we were also taxiing, we were in a number of places and we had no problem. When we arrived in the room, there were two single beds, we joined together and we could sleep in that way. We picked up the heat record in Argentina in March o/23, thanks to God the air conditioning was working perfectly, the shower is great, breakfast is OK, the wifi is not very good. If you're going to take a trip, stay out the whole day and don't want to stay in the hotel long, just use for rest, I recommend.

First I'd like to say that the young man who assisted me when I arrived late at night at Up Tribeca was entirely professional and courteous with me, even though I checked out almost immediately after checking in. So: I initially booked three nights at Up Tribeca because the reviews for the hotel were all positive; however, the hotel ”ambience” is entirely artificial and - to put bluntly - weird. All the rooms are centered around an open-air courtyard (btw, that courtyard is the only fresh air in the hotel), and because I checked-in late at night, I had a very hard time trying to find my room number while walking the hallway along the courtyard, as it was lit by a few neon lights that (I guess) gave off a cool vibe, but no actual light. Because it was so dark, I mistook the wrong room for mine and kept trying to open the door with my card, until I noticed (again, hard to see with no light!) the ”do not disturb” sign on the door handle (sorry to whomever might have woken up to me trying to open their door.) I then continued down the dark hallway to my correct room, and when I opened the door, I was greeted to a completely windowless box of a room that reeked of synthetic air-freshener, making it smell like I just walked into a Zara Home Furnishing store. The smell was suffocating, and of course there was no way to open a window to get rid of it because no window existed. If you've ever watched the Apple Tv show ”Severance,” then you'll get the kind of atmosphere this room had: it felt completely claustrophobic and dystopic. I didn't spend more than thirty seconds in that room before I grabbed my suitcase and went down to the front desk, requesting a different room that had a window, only to be informed none of the rooms have windows. At that point, I asked him to call me a taxi, and I left for another hotel. To sum up: if you don't care that you're staying in a windowless box that smells like a home furnishing store in the local mall, you'll be fine at Up Tribeca. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend you book elsewhere.

This hotel is advertised on many websites as a 4 star hotel with very high satisfaction rate. But don’t be fooled by beautiful entrance. Once you get into the elevator everything disappears and you are welcomed into the rooms that resembles of a hostel. The rooms are terribly small. But that is not what is bad. The rooms are extremely dirty. Grime is everywhere: bathtub, faucet’s, toilets…Just look at the pictures! But here is where it gets worse. On my son’s duvet, there is an old blood stain. I had to put 3 boys in one bed even though we booked a triple room. My pillow case wasn’t changed. It was dirty and there was somebody else’s hair on it. I immediately went to the front desk to ask for a clean pillow case. And even though staff speaks very little English (or in some cases no English at all) this is a conversation we had using google translate: - Hi, there is a dirty pillowcase on my pillow. Can I please get a fresh one? - No, I am sorry, the housekeeping is finished for the day (it was midnight). - That’s fine, I can change it myself but can you please give me a clean pillowcase? - I am sorry I can’t leave the front desk I am by myself. You have to wait until tomorrow morning. - And how am I going to sleep on a dirty pillow? - I am sorry there is nothing I can do until tomorrow morning. He finally told me to wait for a second and he will see what he can do after I asked him if he would sleep on a dirty pillow if it was him. 15 mins later he took me to a linens’ room where there was no pillowcases. I took one clean sheet and said I would wrap the pillow with it. If you can please avoid this place at all costs. You’ll pay premium price $150/night for a hostel experience. Unfortunately we booked 2 rooms for 5 nights and they won’t refund us, even though we wanted to leave immediately after getting into the rooms. Rooms are advertised with balconies, this one has none. Just dirty windows. I can stomach lots of things but sleeping on a dirty bed and in a dirty room- I cannot.

Clean and well presented hotel in a great location on Av Corrientes. The street comes alive at night with buskers, dancers & small market stalls. The hotel is safe & staff were very helpful. Only (minor) negative was that yhe rooms don’t have kettles so you need to walk down to level 1 to get hot water (bit odd). But it’s a good hotel and worth a visit.

Lilly Gitarts 1/5 just now on Google If I could give a negative rating to that hotel, I would!!!! We booked the HTL Urbano hotel on *********** for staying four times(two nights each time) during our vacation in Argentina. The very first time on November 2 through November 4, instead of the deluxe room for two they gave us a single room with a small bathtub with the slippery slanted side wall and rotating bathtub door. There is no safety handles in that bathtub.I stepped on the corner, felled with my face against the bathtub, got stitches at the hospital…We didn’t have time to talk to them, because we were busy looking for the hospital and a doctor and had the busy itineraries. After the second night we went to the Iguazu falls and left our luggage in their storage. We returned to the hotel two more times(after the trip to the Patagonia and Uruguay). We had the reservations made from home long time ago.On our last leg of the two nights stay( on November 16-18 after returning from the Colonia on the ferry, hotel informed us that our reservation was canceled, because they couldn’t approve our credit card.We had paid with the same credit card at that hotel twice for our first and third stay!We found ourselves at 10:00 pm at night without accommodation, and our luggage in the storage at HTL Urbano. Receptionists called his manager, and utter that conversation was very rude to us,refused to help, refused to let me to talk to his manager directly, refused to call a taxi for us!He said that he is nobody and the hotel doesn’t have a manager! I would recommend people to stay away from that terrible and unsafe hotel who’s employees have no integrity, not willing to help. Also hotel is located in the business area, which is deserted and unsafe at night

I've been staying at Air B& B's since 2017, being La Habana; Cuba my first experience ever so Trip Advisor (finally) is great to see I can now review Air BB's and by the way just a ”constructive” criticism more ”categories” should be added: trains, airlines etc. (just saying). Here we go: As a native Argentinean I go home at least once a year to visit my family, obvioulsy 90 % of the time to & from Buenos Aires, not I'm not from B.A. (Buenos Aires) but I either fly to or from to continue my trip to my hometown. My last time there I stayed at Top Rentals Buenos Aires, my very first time using this company and I must say I was really impressed ! The property is located on Esmeralda Street so centrally located is within walking distance pretty much anywhere downtown, super safe, always be mindful of your surroundings like everywhere else and do please ( can't type all caps) but NO flashy jewelry or nothing fancy while on the streets. The check in process is located in one of the upper floors of the Building Complex, but upon arrival the security officer at the lobby will give you specific instructions where to go. Rooms are so spacious, clean, beautiful views of the area and a small balcony to sip your malbecs, with the River Plate on the background. The staff is super attentive, apartments comes with toiletries, towels, and utensils for cooking, but really ?? You are in The Paris of South America so who will want to cook ? I couldn’t use the pool too cold for me. I highly recommend it you won't regret it, so good this place is that with my luck!!! One of the South American Presidents (don't know whom) decided to stay in that same building at the time of my visit, no wonder why there were so many police and security so if this place is good enough for a president of country I'm guessing is good enough for us to!! (lol) You be the judge and please let me know. for more photos and details feel free to follow me at: @la_hormiguitaviajera on instagram. Please be safe ! GGuest User How a hostel should be run. One of the best I've ever stayed in, in 20 years of travelling. Curtains, charger, light and a lock box for every bed. Large lockers in the room. Rooms are super spacious. They have individual safety boxes with a password in the reception area and a camera watching them so you can leave valuables. Fastidiously clean. Cleaned multiple times a day. All sheets, curtains are super clean. Many large, private bathrooms around the hostel with free soap, shampoo, conditioner. Activities almost everyday ranging from empanada and mate making to tango lessons. A wide range of common areas: 2 large, clean well stocked kitchens, a quiet room, a work room, a garden. Free water dispensers. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff 24/7. Safe because you need to buzz in every time. Someone is there 24/7. Right next to Florida Calle for money changing. Closest subway is 2 minutes away. Lots of shops, restaurants super close by. Including a really great, affordable, vegetarian self service place and a really nice restaurant with great meat where you get a discount for being a hostel customer. I stayed there initially and went back after a trip to Patagonia. They let me leave my luggage while I was in Patagonia. Sorry for the long review but having travelled a lot and stayed in many hostels, I was really impressed with how this hostel was run. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. GGuest UserFierro Hotel is a true gem! The location is good but we took a taxi nearly everywhere. There are lots of eateries all around this neighborhood though. The people at the desk exceed themselves in giving the best service they can. We arrived mid-morning, and we only had to wait a few minutes before our 2 rooms were ready. We waited in their dining room where they served us their amazing breakfast that comes with the room. We ate many of our meals here because the food is amazing, chef-prepared. The wines recommended by their in-house sommelier are delicious. The rooms are big with a fridge stocked with champagne if desired. Also a separate wine fridge stocked with several wines. The desk folks have great suggestions for things to do as well as calling a taxi, English-speaking if desired. We asked about a dinner show with tango. It did not disappoint! They made our reservations, we were picked up and taken to the venue and it was great! We needed a late checkout and they allowed us to stay til 2 pm. I can't guarantee that on busier days the same accommodations to time in and out can be given. But we can leave our luggage safely if needed, even use of the facilities of pool, dining and sauna were offered after checkout. I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. The only negative thing was having to leave!

GGuest User 725 Continental Hotel is in a central position, short walk one way to Plaza de la Republica, with Obelisco, and a short walk the other way to Plaza de Mayo.A stop for the open top bus tours is on the other side of the street. Hailing a taxi is easy on the roadside but reception ordered a taxi without charge. The hotel has no car park, but there is paid-parking nearby. This art deco building is in a street of such buildings making for a scenic cityscape, both from the street and roof top terrace, where there is a bar and small pool. Sunset drinks were enjoyed on the roof. Room and ensuite was large and everywhere was clean. Reception directed us to 2 double rooms before finding the twin we had booked, which was an unwanted inconvenience after a long journey. There was a paid mini bar but no kettle in the room. View was across to the buildings the other side of the street. Air conditioning worked well. The lifts are slow and the wait was tiresome, but fortunately we could use the stairs from our room on a lower floor. Breakfast is served on the first floor, and there is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, which we did not use. There are tango shows and many restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was adequate with omelettes cooked to order. Window tables have picturesque street views. Facilities give the five star rating, but 725 Continental Hotel is more comfortable than luxurious. Location and service on offer made it good value.

GGuest UserThe hotel is situated in the heart of town - so many fabulous restaurants, cafes and bars on its doorstep. Facilities are basic but the room was very clean and the breakfast more than adequate. The perfect hotel for creating a base in the heart of Buenos Aires. The real plus we’re the excellent staff who were on hand and eager to assist with everything. Very knowledgable helpful and kind - special mention to Danny, Sarah and Gabriel who were excellent, all three went above and beyond, so a huge thanks to the three of you - you made us so very welcome. KKazzy travelerNot sure why this hotel gets so highly rated. I had room 502, a large room on the 5th floor, facing Guemes Street (I think..) it had a large king bed, a kitchenette and a balcony. I found it felt tired. The wall that leads out onto the balcony is all floor to ceiling glass and has sliding doors. I don't think that it was double glazed and the seals were non-existent and let in every bit of noise from the busy street below. There were no seals on the hallway door and no soft close. I definitely won't be staying again.

GGuest UserWe stayed for 1 night around 2 weeks ago before our cruise. We were pleasantly surprised how nice it was and the front desk host, Daniel, was very friendly and helpful. We arrived at the hotel late morning after a long flight from the US. We were relieved that our room was ready. We were starving and Daniel recommended a restaurant near the hotel that was excellent and affordable. Our room was on the top floor with a great view of the plaza. It was in a great location and we walked all over and saw landmarks like the Obelisk and Teatro Colon. The room was comfortable and had a mini fridge and sofa. The breakfast was very good. Highly recommend this hotel and it was very good value.

Very Good
You see the hotel incredible on the internet, but the reality is different. It's an old building, which I understand, but the rooms are not amazing, the carpets in the corridors look really dirty, the service is not good at all. The maid was more eager to ask if she better not clean until the next day, you have cockroaches in the room, the shower is very small both at the top and the space. You think the elevator is going to come off and it's very small. The noise is extreme, you can hear everything that happens in the rooms, the Argentines who stay are really noisy, the doors slam shut, it smells bad inside the bedrooms. I asked about the air conditioning and the answer was that due to the current climate they don't turn it on, that they only use the heating if you're cold, I told them that I'm not cold but hot, but I can't use it, they don't have a machine, at least for coffee , breakfast is not included. Really pay a cost for something horrible, dirty and bad service.

SshawndaikiLocation, location, location. Excellent Punto cafe across the road, a Western Union branch round the corner, police station 2-3 blocks down, lotsa grocery stores around you, walking distance to San Telmo market, location is Babel Studio’s greatest advantage. The other thing about location would be Argentinian late night party culture, you may not get a good nights sleep. Clean and spacious room, reliable AC, hot water and pressure, it ticks the boxes for what one would expect in a stay. The only improvement I would hope for is to adjust the shower head holder, I’m 6 ft and can reach it comfortably but for someone shorter it might be a stretch. Also the monochrome design is modern and attractive but the white lighting makes the room feel harsh on the eyes. Warm lighting would do wonders for the space. We did not have a smooth check in experience and was stranded outside for 15 min until another guest let us in as they were leaving. Would be good to receive check in info prior to the stay as the reception is not manned round the clock. Overall a pleasant stay and highly recommend.

HHector ErnanyThe hotel is excellent. However, when we inserted the card to turn on the light…the power went out, but a technician went and fixed it. Other than that, the staff are great and serve an excellent breakfast.
