NH Buenos Aires Tango

We arrived a day late due to flight issues, obviously not the hotels fault! Our room was ready the next morning on arrival. Nice standard size room with a fabulous balcony view of central Buenos Aires near the Obelisk. Limited amenities given the location. Average breakfast. Overall though, all you need for a couple of days stay. 

The hotel is located in a very good location, very close to the obelisk, one of the famous landmarks of Buenos Aires. It’s also next to a tango show. There are many shops and restaurants nearby, including minimarts. But the staff service is normal. The receptionists were not so friendly. They talked with guests with their ignorance attitudes, not showing any friendliness or welcoming manner at all. I think this should be improved for all who would want to work in this tourism service industry. The worse thing for this hotel is rooms’ dirtiness. It was really dusty and dirty. On the floor, I found many blonde hairs and dust. And no cleaning was done on the second day, although we didn’t hang any sign  at the door. Just only 2 new bottles of water were placed on the table. So that we knew the housekeeper came inside without cleaning or touching anything including making up beds or collecting trash. So I think the service here in general is not good. The rooms are also a bit decent and old.

So bad we checked out early. So many issues. Dirty toilets,  no water pressure, plugs and lights that did not work. Small dark rooms. Breakfast tables were not cleaned so nowhere to sit, one lift was broken. In a very touristy downtown area. Only positive is that they did refund the nights when we moved out.

Great location right near the Tango theater and many attractions

The NH BA Tango is located right in front of Obelisco and Ave of 9th Julio. We stayed at NH BA Tango for 3 nights because of its strategic location. We booked a junior suite room, and the room was very clean, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was served at a clean and nice restaurant on the 3rd floor. There were varieties of croissants and pastries, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, salted vegetables, fruits and juices. Tango Portenno and Theatre Colon just located next to the hotel. Floriade Street and Ave Corrientes just minutes away from the hotel. AEP airport is about 20 minutes drive from the hotel. We will certainly stay at NH BA Tango if visit Buenos Aires again.
