Hotels near Danube International Church, Budapest

Currently here at the moment and tbh I’m disappointed! Not like the reviews say. It’s a good 45 min walk to the centre of Budepest. The breakfast is lack lustre at most! Luke warm hot drinks, only one side of the toaster works and very basic buffet. Rooms have no tv, or hairdryers! The amenities it says are here simply aren’t, rooftop bar closed, pasta shop never open, spar next door is very limited hours and the staff are rude. If your wanting somewhere to stay with things around it don’t stay here it feels like your in the middle of no where. Nothing much around it so do expect to be walking quite a way to get to anything. I comply understand it’s geared towards student but even these must be bored to tears with the lack of amenities around the hotel, not even anywhere to grab a bite to eat within a good 10 min walk. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not On a plus note the reception staff are lovely

The Florin hotel in Budapest was excellent as was the location. Area 6 is well located to the Jewish quarter and the bohemian area. The hotel is 10 min walk to St Stephen’s church. Trams stop right outside the hotel and main metro station is less than a 10 min walk. For over 65s public transport is free, but is cheap anyway and so easy to get about. Attila, Balint and Lori at reception were great ambassadors for Budapest and the hotel - helpful and friendly. The rooms spacious with a little kitchenette and good bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

The rooms are run down and very little money has been spent on improvements. It was annoying that the manager asked me to pay up front for my four days to stay at the Omega. Generally I pay at check out time. The manager insisted on three occasions overall. I suspected that previous guests had given him a bad time about their experiences. The reality check came for me on the third day in the afternoon. There was a sudden hard rain in the afternoon at about 4:00 pm just as I was arriving back to my room. the drainage system is ineffective. The floors throughout the hotel had been flooded out. Given the rooms are on the first floor I can not work out how this happened. There was a very bad smell of contaminated water sort of like diluted sewerage water near the reception area and throughout the corridor and staff were busy trying to soak up the water. I was lucky as the bad smell was not in my room but one other guest was irate. Neither of us will be staying here ever again. The only outstanding feature of the Omega is the woman that is on reception. She was friendly, honest, helpful and knew the importance of having a good relationship with guests. Omega management can turn this into a good hotel. Just spend money on maintenance and simple upgrades.

One of the most budget friendly accommodation in the city! It is in a very strategic location where it is just few meters away from bus stop and metro train station. It is also just few bus stops away from famous tourist destinations. It is near grocery store and vodafone where you can buy a sim card (tip for tourists). Rooms are clean and well maintained. They have self service washing and drying machines, common kitchen and bathrooms, common lounge area, vending machines and many more. This place is wheelchair friendly as well for those who need them. Service wise was great as well. I would commend Thomas from reception for being helpful especially when we arrived from airport at 2AM. Overall, we enjoyed staying here. It is truly a great value for money.

Hospitality at this hotel is pretty much non-existent, especially for what I'd expect of a Novotel. It starts with having no doorman. You'll see this a few times in others comments. They give you one water bottle in your room. Don't expect them to replace it throughout your stay though. That'd be a lot to ask. Room service? I'm not sure if they cleaned the rooms during our stay. They did make the beds. That's about all. When I asked where I might find water, I was rudely directed to purchase a bottle from the restaurant. This is unheard of to me. Filtered water should always be freely provided. The breakfast was also quite mediocre. Huge lineup for coffee, no brewed coffee, which would be quicker to serve. Staff not around. For the price, the breakfast is certainly not worth it. Not a great experience. I won't be returning.

I stayed at the ibis Budapest Stadium Hotel for 2 nights on a business trip. The hotel is located next to the Groupama Arena and is conveniently located near the Nepliget metro station (2 minute walk). The hotel itself is modern and clean and the staff at reception were professional and polite. The Room (675) was basic (no tea/coffee making facilities etc) but modern and clean, the bed was comfortable and the WIFI was good. In the bathroom there is only a shower with Shower gel/shampoo provided, once again very modern and clean. The breakfast was a vast selection of meats, eggs, breads, cereals etc and was of good quality. The staff at breakfast were friendly and polite. Overall, I would say this was a very nice hotel to stay at. As it is a New Hotel there are no signs of wear and tear which makes the stay more pleasant. I would definitely consider staying here again if I was in Budapest.

Stayed 5 nights for a conference with 3 other colleagues. Quaint hotel that looks its age. Had very friendly and helpful staff handling check in/out. Had taken a suite, but it was rather small. Main door opened into an anteroom with 2 internal doors - 1 of which led into bedroom (just enough space for a double bed with 2 small side tables). The other door led into a small living room (space for dressing table, couch, TV, and a small round table with a chair). Bathroom is a little dim. Breakfast buffet had standard ham and cheese cuts, scrambled eggs, breads, cereals, fruits - repeated daily. Noticed the staff change the cutlery after each dinner, but the placemats on the table is not changed. Location is excellent with nearby train and bus station leading to all major attractions. Also have supermarkets nearby.

The hotel is very beautiful and modern and the staff very welcoming. not knowing the city, they do not hesitate to advise me on places to visit and explain to me how to get around with public transport. The room was very comfortable and modern corresponding to all my expectations. The only small negative point that I could cite is the restricted opening hours of the restaurant and the bar. Taking into account the neighborhood (8th arrondissement), I would have preferred to eat at the hotel than to have to go out or order. In summary, a great stay and can't wait to come back!

The room was neatly tidy, wonderful bed, neat bathroom, in short, in tiptop order. The various pools and hot tub were clean and beautiful so very enjoyable. The breakfast was very extensive so that even picky people like my wife and I could get something tasty and healthy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This showed, among other things, that my wife had become unwell due to something we had eaten in the city, so I asked for some fruit late in the evening and a later checkout the next day, which we again offered free of charge. got. If I had to mention something, it is that this beautiful hotel is a bit older, so the luxury is no longer completely up to date, for us that was no problem at all and I would even say that we saw it as a plus. My dear friends, this post is going to be about one hotel in Budapest near the airport. Generally my stay was for couple days and it was not bad. However, the location of the hotel was not so close to the airport and anyway you have to take a taxi. The building and design inside is stucked in beginning of 2000 years. It is need to be updated with fresh and new one furniture, to be honest. But, in general rooms are quite big and there are enough space. I stayed in the room with balcony even. It was clean and smelled good, what is really important. Breakfast buffet line provides guests with fresh meal and wide range of snacks, fruits and pastry. Once for dinner I have choose burger with sweet potato fries - it was tasty and a lot. Here you may find the ping pong table to play and sauna and jacuzzi as well. Only because of service and people who is working there I gave “very good” mark, because staff was always friendly and tried to do their job professionally and kindly according to the guests. If owners would renew this hotel and create the resort it will be really great hotel to stay.
