Our stay was a one night for a family occasion so we were just looking for basic clean facilities. We liked that it was airconditioned and had a microwave, toaster and jug. The location is excellent with easy access to shops, cinemas etc. And the hotel was available for meals if required. I would have liked a a couple of spare pillows but there was a single bed we didn't use so we did use that pillow. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was firm.

GGuest User 2023.03.18
We stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise that was leaving from the International Cruise Terminal. The main reason we chose this hotel was its close proximity to Roma Street Station as we caught the train from the airport. While it is close to the train station it is located at the top of a reasonable hill and it took a bit of effort to navigate the way to the top, apart from the effort. Several escalators/lifts and then a steep path with no real directions on which way to go. I thought I would be able to see the hotel to give me an idea which way but had to resort to Google Maps to find the way. Unfortunately we were on an early flight into Brisbane so as it was 09:30AM I was not expecting our room to be ready but just needed to store our bags so we good do some exploring. As expected, our room was not ready but the guy behind the counter checked me in, stored our bags and advised that the hotel was busy and our room would not be ready until about 02:00PM. No worries we will be back. We arrived back at 01:00PM and our room was still not ready and waited in the foyer till 02:00PM as previously discussed. Reception gave me our keys and we proceeded to our room on Level 1, or so I thought……..room card would not let me use the lift. Back to reception to have the card re-coded. On entry to our room, it was reasonably spacious and looked clean and reasonably comfortable. Décor a bit dated, but functional. We had a rather large balcony but we could not use it as there was no furniture so the balcony was wasted. Bathroom was small but functional, bit dated but appeared clean. It was only after we used the toilet several times that we noticed water on the floor. We ignored it for quite a while as we thought we had spilt water on the floor but it was not till the next morning that I realised it was coming from under the toilet. I reported it to reception on checkout. As we were tired from our early start we chose to order room service. While we knew how much it was going to cost it was very expensive. Two hamburgers and chips over $70. A bit steep, but as we were so tired we paid so we did not have to go out. The hamburgers were good by the way, but still way too expensive. Overall, this hotel was OK, but the room was supposed to be a superior room. OK. I would hate to be in a Standard Room………..as the room was pretty average for a Superior. After reading some of the other reviews the price we paid was fair and the location is good, just not when you have to push two big suitcases that we were taking on a cruise up the hill from the station. PS. It cost us $73 in the taxi to get to the Cruise Terminal.

The Soho Hotel in Brisbane is definitely great value for what you pay. The rooms might be a bit small, but they've got everything you need: a fridge, desk, comfy bed, and a decent bathroom. It's also nice and quiet. Having the free city bus right outside is a huge plus. No lift, which was a bit of a hassle for me with my back issue, but that's on me to check next time. The hosts are top-notch – super friendly and welcoming, probably the best we've met during our three months of travel. Considering the price, you're getting a lot for your money here.

I loved the Brisbane Hyatt. I ended up spending four more nights there and it just couldn’t get enough. It was centrally located. I was able to get around town very easily. I was able to walk over to the wonderful Parkland lake where the big party is in the middle of town where everybody’s at the beach and playing volleyball having fun The food was exceptional. The service was outstanding. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was modern and clean and eco-friendly so all in all I was quite impressed and I’m sure I’ll be back in the future. Thank you very much! I’m a big fan.

Room is cleaned everyday. Not possible to check in early and at 2pm there would be a long queue at the reception and it goes all the way till the entrance. Calls to Recep takes very long to be answered. I requested for a 30mins late check out but the cleaner opened the door and came in even before my check out timing. Cleaner came knocking again awhile later and Recep also called me prior to me leaving the room even though I had already informed I will be coming down 30mins late. Hotel is located beside a pub so expect that it may be noisy on a Saturday night.

I currently live on the Sunshine Coast and drive to Brisbane once a week to work 3 days in our Milton office and stay here when I can because of the location. It’s a great place to stay as it’s reasonably priced (circa $100 a night), has undercover car parking, and is a 5 minute walk to work and various restaurants & eateries on Park Road. There is a decent Chinese restaurant (China Sea) attached to the hotel which I have dined at a few times and an excellent Thai massage place (Royal Paradise Thai Spa) on Park Road which I discovered & now go to. It is a $15 Uber ride to QPAC (I went & saw a Queensland Theatre production on my last visit) and I walk up to the Palace Barracks and catch a movie sometimes. The rooms are clean & comfortable & have all you need for a 3 night stay. Some of the rooms have basic smart TVs so you can watch Netflix. Wifi is free but very hit & miss (often slow or not working) so I often just use Telstra data. I never actually seen anyone at reception due to the fact I arrive late on Sundays & reception opens after I have left for work, however the phone check in process where you access keys from a safe works perfectly fine. Overall I recommend Central Cosmo & I’ll be back very soon (tomorrow in fact!).

GGuest UserWhilst our stay in the Hotel X Suite was pleasant, there was nothing memorable about it. The suite was spacious, fitted with modern conveniences (ie. electric blockout curtains, Dyson hairdryer, zip tap and smart tv) and was generally comfortable. Unfortunately, the bathroom lacked privacy as it overlooked the street and directly faced another building across the road so the blinds were always drawn preventing natural light from coming in. Also, there is no separate toilet with lockable door. Although, the toiletries were nice and the shower quite spacious. Service was friendly but lacked a personal touch. Breakfast at Bisou Bisou had a limited menu but the food was overall good. The rooftop bar (Iris) had great views, a good tapas menu and relaxing vibe. The location of the hotel is convenient, within walking distance of the buzzing James Street precinct and a short car ride to the city centre.

GGuest UserGood stay at the Westin. Clean, comfortable, modern room and good service at reception. Well located. Just a couple of minor negatives: 1. The pool was extremely busy on the Saturday because the hotel sells tickets to the public for a pool party event (I believe happens every Friday and Saturday). All the loungers and seats were taken and there were no clean towels available - not ok if you're actually staying at the hotel but can't use the pool facility. It was quiet and pleasant on other days, however there is no service around the pool that we saw so I'm not sure whether you can order food/drink poolside. 2. The buffet breakfast was generally very good in terms of selection, food quality and ambience however we stayed over the Easter long weekend and the service was noticeably lacking - many of the food items had run out and we had to wait multiple times and for long periods for them to be replenished. Also we were not offered tea/coffee or told there was a choice of eggs to order until our last day (ie. after the long weekend) so were left with the dregs of cold scrambled eggs and self service hot drinks. Other than that, we were happy with our stay and would go back if ever in Brisbane again.

GGuest UserStayed at The Constance last Friday for an event and was such a delight. Perfect location for all night life, everything is in walking distance. Greeted and served by the loveliest reception staff, I wish I had of asked for your name - the sweet filo receptionist made us feel so special and welcomed for the night. The room was a little smaller than the pictures but super modern and exciting change from our usual hotel stays, loved all the art and the cute courtyard out back. The bed was the absolute highlight of our stay though 😅 felt like a cloud, we really struggled getting up in the morning because it was so comfy. Overall a lovely little spot to spend the night, thanks staff! Miss Lyric x

GGuest UserLoc Super convenient location on the corner of Jephson St and Sherwood Rd, with the popular Toowong Village Shopping Centre, a 10 minute walk away. The Toowong railway station can be accessed directly from the shopping centre. There are plenty of buses trundling up and down Sherwood Rd heading in various directions to the city or to the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre further south. The nearest ferry terminal is Regatta, less than a km away, but at the time of writing it is still under repair following last year's floods. Room We found the room to be clean, comfortable and spacious, with a large king bed, two bedside tables, each with a drawer and a lamp, a TV on the wall, and a handy desk for working at. On the balcony, was a small table and two chairs. There were plenty of power points to charge appliances and the downlights were strong enough for easy reading. The stylish touch lamp on the desk and standing lamp in the corner were useful for extra illumination. There was a hanging rail with about eight hangers. There were two sets of two drawers, one underneath the hanging rail and the safe, with one larger set underneath the TV. They were reasonably sized, but being virtually on the floor, they were super inconvenient to access. I can’t understand why the designers didn’t think of this, because it’s extra difficult to get down so low, especially if you’re a bit older, or with knee problems. Also in the room was a safe but that too required bending down. On top of the safe and below the hanging rail was a shelf to store one suitcase. The tea and coffee making facilities were also very difficult to access as they were rammed into a little shelf snuck between the drawers and the desk-top. The room though was quiet, being at the back of the property and therefore not facing directly onto either Jephson Street or Sherwood Rd, both busy roads. One could hear some noise from within the hotel as people walked up and down the corridor, but it was a minor inconvenience and most fellow guests seemed friendly and well behaved. There wasn’t much of a view, and the room just looked out onto the sprawling next door apartment complex, and to the right between the trees we could see Jephson Street, and the traffic going up and down, but the sound didn’t carry into the bedroom if the balcony door was kept closed. Bathroom The bathroom was not an en-suite, being situated in the passageway, between the front door and the bed. That was just as well, as it had a sliding door, which is never great for privacy, although it could be locked. But the bathroom was modern and stylish, and the water pressure in the shower was strong. A transparent glass wall separated the bathroom from the bedroom, which shocked me when I first saw it. I immediately phoned the reception to tell them that we needed another room due to the lack of bathroom privacy. But luckily, as reception pointed out to me, the glass has an inbuilt feature which, at the flick of a switch could turn i

GGuest UserIt is a bit inconveniently located far from the city center and there’s no real restaurants or shops around. When I first checked in to the original room it smelled very bad and I started getting a headache. They said it’s the smell from the new carpet and they might have used glue or something. I was happy with my new room but it had another issue that I keep hearing banning noise day and night. I inquired about this to multiple workers but the only I thing I heard was they have no idea where the noise was coming from. The service was ok generally but one of the housekeepers kept coughing and made me really uncomfortable to get my room cleaned. Also, usually other hotels give one hour complimentary late check out but only this hotel didn’t allow any late check out. One good thing about this hotel was that they had really big smart tv and I could watch Netflix and YouTube. Overall, my experience at this hotel wasn’t too great and I wouldn’t really recommend this hotel unless you have a car and not too sensitive to noises.

Room facilities gave me all I needed for cooking and storage. Cleanliness was outstanding across whole property. Car parking secure. PPHILLIP JAMESThis hotel is just a 5 min walk to the Queen Street Mall and also very close to the Treasury ******. I arrived at about 2:00pm (the set check inn time), but a large tour group was also trying to check inn. So I let my luggage and came back latter. My room was located on Level 12, and at the back of the building. As the hotel is opposite a construction site, it was wise to have a room facing the back of this building. The view is nothing exceptional - just a small courtyard with taller buildings surrounding the hotel. The room was very spacious with a comfortable sofa-chair and lamp to view the TV (from a distance). The internet was hit and miss. There are two connections. One free with lower internet speeds and another network for $5 with higher speeds. I was given access to the higher speed network for free when visiting the reception for voucher. Some times the internet connection was exceptional but often it dropped out and you have to reconnect several times. The bathroom was very modern and shower was fulled enclosed with glass door, rather than a shower curtain. However, note there are two issues with the bathroom. The toilet is not accustomed too much paper, and was often blocked. (fortunately there is bathroom brush provided to unblock the toilet). Secondly, there seems to be some problem with the drain under the sink, that was letting water in to the bathroom floor. Hap to mop up the wet floors, using towels, which I put over the drain. Despite these problems, I would still recommend this hotel. It represents good value for money in a prime location.

NNevillehThe room was clean & today & the bed was very comfortable. Plenty of hot water for the shower & basin but be careful as the hot water comes our extremely very very hot & instant. It seems everyone has trouble locating the key pads. This is because they are digital screens, so when you arrive you just see a box & no keypad. Ad this is a keyless entry check in hotel I would suggest the instructions explain you won’t see a key pad but a little box & tap on it to light up digital keypad. We were in room 13 next to the closed reception and we heard many people ringing the helpline because they couldn’t locate the key pad for entry to the carpark or hotel. Our TV kept switching off at night with the screen message no signal, so we couldn’t watch TV any night which was extremely disappointing. We had 2 chairs in the room and one had faulty legs and was unsafe to sit on. We found the location good as it was a very casual walk to restaurants & cafes in Racecourse Rd. There is a fish & chip takeaway shop directly opposite the hotel. We were a little disappointed in that we would have liked a balcony as per the photo, but not all rooms have balconies.
