The Wellington Apartment Hotel

Hotel a bit dated. Hardly anyone at the front. It’s an OK stay, granted we weren’t physically there much.

Good location, staffs are nice and attentive. The amenities was old , busy maintenance well. Good value for many as I am looking for the apartment with kitchen .

On arrival, there was no booking. Cancelled dates, however, were located by reception. The dates booked was arrive 11th and check out on the 12th . This booking had been changed and trip.com sent confirmation. This had not been recorded. not the fault of the Wellington, but yours. Receptionist was able to retrieve payment for 10th. There is still another payment that has been taken from our account. I was promised this would be refunded in 10 to 14 days. I will be waiting for this. Fortunately, there was one room vacant and we did have a bed for the night. I will not be using trip.com for any further bookings. The Wellington is in need of some updating. Chairs in room were average. Mattress should be replaced. Showers should be updated. The Tv would not connect to any free to air channels without major interference. Luckily Netflix worked. Providing a continental breakfast for over nighters would be appreciated and hopefully a restaurant will be reinstated.I have been staying there occasionally for twenty-two years and see the detioration of what was/ could be a four-star accommodation.

Pluses Good central area, walking distance to ferry, Localised dinning at Pub across the road----good size room with great view---good off street parking ,great location--Lady Manager at front desk very good---posibly she could Train Peter on customer comunication. Cons----the swimming pool needed cleaning---- Initial ckeck in put in small room--when queried put in room matching booking descrition----coffee saches suboptimal----

Undercover parking...lift from carpark to room. Unit fitted out very well for short or long stay. Unfortunately air on stopped through the night!!!!!

Helpful welcoming lady at the front desk, gave a great recommendation to a restaurant where i had the best steak in 10 years.

I really enjoyed my stay at this apartment. The staff were very helpful. My rooms were very clean. Great kitchen and supplies. Full size fridge and freezer was a huge bonus. Beautiful swimming pool which was sparkling clean. Comfy bed - maybe a little soft for me. Awesome pillows too. I walked to a great IGA for all my supplies. Fantastic cafes and food venues close by. I walked to Brisbane city - slow walk took 1 hour. Walked the Story Bridge for great sunset views. Highly recommend.

Faulty Towers. Advised to lock balcony door when absent or asleep. Balcony door did not close properly, let alone lock. Reception Hours 8am until 4pm weekdays and as required at weekends. Faults discovered after these hours. Shower was a jet. Soap dish missing. Fridge noisy. City view great. bed comfortable. room cleaner pleasant and helpful. None the less, will avoid this one in future.
