Perfect location (although current rail strikes unfortunately meant that the station was shut!! Rail replacement bus provided though which was an ok substitute) We decided to drive to Upminster station (15 minute drive) parked all day (£4.50) and jumped on the tube from there. Chargeable car parking facilities next to hotel Warm friendly welcome - big shout out to Charles who checked us in after the longest and most horrendous journey. He was a joy. Lovely comfortable rooms Amazing shower Comfy beds Excellent food choice and quality for both breakfast and tea in hotel restaurant which boasts the happiest and jolliest chef in the world - what a legend!

Stayed here in July as was visiting friends. Am please to say I was greeted with such a warm welcome. I believe the receptionist name was Charlotte and another blonde lady (didn’t catch her name), both had a very friendly face! The stay was lovely, all the staff was brilliant and the most accommodating.The gym staff could do with having the same attitude. I went down to the spa to relax after a long drive and had a very hostile welcome by an older guy was very stern and didn’t seem interested in being there. Due to such a cold welcome and can’t say I will be going back down there after the experience I had. Maybe the reception and waiter staff need to go and show him how it’s done. Well done holiday Inn as for the gym team, need to step up their game. Very disappointing!!
