Hotels near Mephisto Bilbao, Bilbao

Hi, I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Ercilla for 8 nights over the past week and thought I would take the time to comment on one of best Marriott hotel experiences I have had for many a year. The hotel was in pristine condition, our room was a delight but most importantly the staff in the hotel were amazing. Id like to take time to mention a few of the staff members who went above and beyond to make all of my family's stay really special. At the reception we had the pleasure of being attended to by Jorge, was such a pleasure to chat with him and he was extremely efficient throughout our stay, a proper gentleman, who was a real delight to meet. The breakfast was really excellent, a great selection and again the hard working staff there went out of their way to make our 1st meal of the day a real delight. Id like to take the time mention all of the following members who we had the pleasure of meeting most mornings throughout our stay. Javier, the restaurant manager, every day went out of his way to be extremely friendly and welcoming ensuring we had the best table in the restaurant, himself and the restaurant receptionist Nahia were excellent organising everything for us each and every morning. The rest of the team, Victor, Wilson, Iñigo, Arnold, Gorka & Joseloa were also very very helpful and very efficient making sure tables were clear in super fast time and ensuring all guests needs were attended. It was a real treat to visit the restaurant each and every morning of our stay. I would also like to commend the housekeeping staff for be super friendly and very hard working, our rooms were always maintained very early which was brilliant and was such a help for our holiday as it enabled us every morning to go for breakfast and on our return our room was already serviced. It was a real treat for us to stay at the Ercilla a huge pat on the back to the management and staff of such a well run friendly hotel.

We had a very comfortable stay in Hotel Carlton. It’s my third time to stay there. The location is fantastic. The whole experience is special. The rooms are very spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room are very much appreciated. The little bar is nice for a nightcap after a night out. I’ll certainly stay again

We arrived via the airport bus and found the accommodation easily thanks to reading the reviews beforehand. It is a doorway with a many signs including one for Bilbao city rooms. The rooms are on floors 4 and 5 with Reception on the 4th. Check in was fast and simple with a warm welcome from the lady at reception. The whole two floors have well lit clean corridors and the lift is great. The room was a very clean well presented modern double with a large shower room and plenty of storage. The window s can be opened and I like other reviews mentioning the heat and the ceiling fan... we can say it’s chilly at night but the heating does come on at ten! The location of these room is very central and excellent l. Great transport links if needed but we walked all around the old and new parts of the city with the Guggenheim, bars and restaurants all on our doorstep. Shopping in Bilbao is fantastic and dint be afraid to visit the 2nd hand stores .. some amazing finds!!!

The hotel is located on the old street of Bilbao, 5 minutes walk from the museum. There is an automatic parking garage on the underground of the museum. It is very convenient. The hotel staff is very welcoming. After the check-in, I will take you to the hotel room and have many gourmet restaurants nearby. It is very convenient to walk within 10 minutes.

Good location, around a 10 min walk from the old town. Nice hotel, clean, modern. Had a family suite which was large. Staff were friendly. Small gym if you wanted a work out. Breakfast was good. Took the airport bus which was about a 15 min walk from the hotel. Ate at Hamburguerisa which was nice for a change - fancy burgers effectively, nice food even though the service was pretty awful. Also had some snacks at Las Muns which were tasty and ice cream at Nossi-Be which was on the way to old town.

The apartment has a very excellent location. It has a mini market under it until 11 p.m. and restaurants. It is close to tourist attractions and a beautiful and safe area. The security system in the building is excellent, there is Wi-Fi. The interior design of the apartment is beautiful, modern and comfortable Spacious, clear, and clean, and the weekly cleaning service is good. All basic needs are available, including a dishwasher, clothes, utensils, cleaning tools in the apartment, and all household essentials. Its price is a little high, but for its location it is excellent

Very good location. Airport bus stops 2 blocks away. Close to the Guggenheim and other museums and tourist sites. Great welcome and check in. Basic bed with bedding. Kitchen only has a microwave and fridge – no opportunity to cook. No towels, but lockers available so bring your own lock. It’s comfortable but certainly not premium as the name implies. When we first checked in the staff was friendly and helpful, the lobby is cozy and has free water and a coffee machine. Our room was bigger than we expected and came with everything, toothbrushes, shower cap and comb etc. We asked the front desk for an iron and it came within 5 minutes, great service! The shower was really nice and spacious and the beds were amazing. I suffer from insomnia and the beds were perfectly soft and the comforter was so comfortable I just wanted to stay in bed all day. For the price the breakfast was really good, the only downside was that it seemed a little bit understaffed. My favorite part about the breakfast was the pastry selection, the donuts and cakes were amazing, it tasted better than some pastries I bought from bakeries. Bonus points for providing pads and tampons in the women’s bathroom. The location is pretty good, it’s near the main shopping street and an el corte ingles, it’s also not far from the train station.
