The staff was friendly. I had a problem with the cleanness of the room. The staff manage another upgraded room with a late check inn option. like to stay again.

Rooms in clean condition, water cooker has provided very good services. Hotel is in the first class position directly on Ku'damm. How a room has taken to the street since the courtyard is a huge building site. Air conditioning is very good. Restaurant directly in the hotel. Something unusual, the rolling stairs that lead to the reception. Beds were really good. I missed a minibar in the room. I think it might be a little too high from the price performance ratio.

We stayed at HI Berlin City West for 3 nights. Hotel is two blocks from Savignyplatz station with lots of shopping and dining options in the Ku’damm district. Kadewe is a few stops by bus. It’s also two bus stops from the Zoo station which is a major bus and train terminal. S9 takes you directly to BER if you need to catch a flight. The hotel is reasonably priced, updated modern and very clean. Typical European breakfast buffet included has lots of options like cold cuts, fresh fruits, bread, scrambled eggs, waffles, bacon, yogurts, etc. Housekeeping was done every day. The most important asset is the staff. Max L. was extremely helpful and enthusiastically helped us with all our requests. The only concern I have is we were assigned to a room on one side of the hotel which faces the train track. The train schedule is limited at night but we are light sleepers. Mary K. diligently and promptly resolved our concern about the noise and moved us to a higher floor.

I arrived in Berlin two days before a conference and I'd booked into this hotel because it was great value. I found out that it's very well located. The bus from the airport stops right outside and it's about 20 metres from a station. It's also in a particularly nice part of town. The hotel is an old European hotel. You'll spend time walking up the steps. The rooms are really comfortable, spotlessly clean and well-appointed. They are small but that's most hotels in Europe. The staff are really helpful and friendly. Because my conference was canceled I stayed a few extra days. The breakfast is amazing. I could not have been happier with the choice of hotel. I bought entirely on price and got much more than I expected.

This hotel is a true gem: it has every amenity I would ask for, but feels like a beautifully preserved slice of history. My room was high ceilinged and compact, but very comfortable, clean and well-maintained, furnished with an eclectic mix of antique furnishings. The bath is small but well appointed with modern fixtures. Staff are courteous and helpful, the breakfast buffet was ample and the location couldn't be more convenient to shopping, bars and restaurants. One small detail that might draw criticism from the modest: the long curtains over the windows aren't easily drawn closed. I had a couple clothespins with me to pin them shut. My bedroom faced the courtyard and I slept with my windows open to enjoy the night air. The most intrusive noise was from the birds singing at dawn. Magical! I look forward to my next visit.

No photos here, because it is a friend. Just looked outside. The friend said it was pretty good, the price was quite expensive during the exhibition. It would be better if it could be cheaper. Just saw the double rainbow, luckily.
