20 KM to Juyongguan. 5 KM to Ming Tomb. 1min to subway station. Restaurants/shops nearby.

The hotel is quite far from the city centre and Daxing international airport, but is right next to a subway station. The hotel is located close to the Ming tombs and is better suited for hikes/sightseeing. The service was great and the room was very clean. The staff didn't speak English but was very ready to help.

We wanted somewhere in Changping near the hot springs. This was a good 1 night stop before heading back to central Beijing in the morning. Breakfast was a bit basic however.

The price is the same as the Hampton by Hilton 150 meters away...but it's hard to describe every aspect. I particularly regret booking this hotel. Maybe it's a brain twitch. Alas, I've learned my lesson. If the price is about the same, I still have to book a big brand.
