Rarely write reviews due to life’s hectic pace, but compelled to do so for Château Tanesse de Tourny. If one was pressed to conjure up the description of a perfect host, it would be Valentino. Attentive without ever being intrusive, charming, knowledgeable, charismatic and enjoys meeting people. Never overstepping, and allaying any guilt one may feel for doing the same. He and his partner truly have a flair for what they love, they have turned the château around and reintroduced the graceful elegance, flair and enticingly comfortable serenity it no doubt had originally, and then some. They have created the perfect haven in a beautiful countryside, for guests to either utilise as a relaxing base to explore the wonders of the area, or just to unwind and feel welcome and recharged. Our stay was early October, and the pool was warm and inviting. As for the breakfast/brunch, there is simply no room for improvement. The only downside to a stay like this, it spoils one for anywhere attempting to be an equivalent. (My wife and I have stayed at many.) Simply put, perfect.

After listening to our plans, they infused them with their own expertise, securing us reservations at previously unexplored vineyards and dining establishments. It was a seamless blend of old-world charm and modern expertise, exactly what one would expect from a boutique château such as this. This is possibly the nicest place we've ever stayed. The chateau is in a beautiful country setting, fabulous views of surrounding vineyards. The common areas tastefully designed, a nice pool and our bedroom was really spacious with a comfortable bed an therapeutic rain shower head. Also luxury Rituals products in the bedroom. The welcome drinks and cheeseboard was so tasty and the huge buffet breakfast was the best we had on our whole trip in France. Lastly, but most importantly, Valentino and Enrico made our stay. So friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Advised us about what to do close by and organised a vineyard tour that was mind blowing in St Emilion.

overlooking hectares of vines , the owners of this beautiful chateau have imbued it with its own unique and exotic style. Our room was large and bright with double shuttered windows that looked out toward the river.The bathroom with very generous shower, was well set out. The king size bed was extremely comfortable, we slept well. Downstairs the lounge and dining areas were stylishly in keeping with the rest of the Chateau. However the real star of the Chateau is co-owner Valentino, charming, interesting and always obliging. His knowledge of the area was always super useful and his drinks on the terrace in the late afternoon and his fabulous breakfast will be remembered long after we return home.

Excellent stay. Valentino and Enrico the owners were amazing. It was a delight to go downstairs each morning to help ourselves to a fabulous breakfast, and then to come home each evening to a special aperitif. Valentino created daily itineraries for us. Could not fault the place. The chateau was beautiful, and the surrounding villages were interesting to walk to.

Me and my wife had unbelievable experience while staying in the Chateau Tanesse de Tourny. Owners Valentino and Enrico treated us like royalty. Service was impeccable, food, wine, cheeses, deserts were excellent. Breakfast every morning was to die for, thanks to Enrico and Valentino. Valentino created for us day by day itinerary to visit different places, including St. Emilion tastings with caves visits. Organized for us private guided tour in Bordeaux.
