My second visit of Park Royal Resort, love the environment and vibe here. Family baby friendly especially kids club beach and splash water park. Even adults is enjoy the gym club is 5 star 24 hour, Gustoso italian and breakfast buffet is good. But the cleanliness need to be improve as a 5 star hotel, base on my two times experience when i first check in room are dusty and lot of long hair from previous customer stay. Hope the management and house keeping team can improve this issue. Anyway i did request them to come vacuum again, they are still helpful. And the car parking are full of tree leaves when park overnight, the staff are helpful he offer us to wash our car as well. Overall my stay is fantastic, definitely will come back next time.

Our family are really enjoyed at Doubletree, their hospitality is amazing and the amenities are all Crabtree brand, good product! Not forget to mentioned their heartfelt warm cookies upon check in! The only things to nag was the beach is way too far for the elderly! Thanks for the free upgrade and the birthday free decoration with cake, my mother in law was happy !

Check in process was quite smooth. Arrived at around 1pm but was told rooms were not ready. Managed to get the rooms at around 2.30pm after having lunch. Rooms and in-room fixtures were very old, damaged and scratched in many places, and could be cleaner. Bathtub was cracked and chipped in places, and there was a lingering odour. There were visible stains on the sofa and tears on bedsheets, with sand on the side tables. Pillows were still firm/fluffy so that’s a positive. Resort facilities are great for young children, with multiple swimming pools and water slides. Small lounge area for infants/toddlers is great too, but is unfortunately not kept clean. The no food/drink rule is not enforced, and we saw a kid spill coffee in the play area. There were mosquitos as well. Food at the garden cafe is mediocre at best. The lunch bento set serving size is small. Breakfast buffet had a decent selection of Asian food, with basic pastries/bread options. Sigi’s was decent for dinner - pictures of the gnocchi and squid ink pasta below.

From arrival to departure, we were treated impeccably. Service is the best with all staff so friendly and humble. Every action is given so kindly and to accommodate guests. While this is one of the most expensive hotels, it is very impressive. Excellent location, stunning views, easy access to restaurants and markets, fabulous beach, water sports...just beautiful!

Good and nice hotel. Very spacious and comfortable. Although it is short of manpower, you can see they are still doing their best to serve customers. Children love this hotel very much because it's easy to go to the beach, and they also have a private playground water pool. Overall, it's good. It's worth booking this hotel, especially when Trip.com is having a promotion.

This is the most relaxing dream hotel that I stay . Feel comfortable and calm ☺️. Breakfast 🍳 was so yummy 🤤 and staff quite nice in restaurant. Pool very instagramable . Everything was nice except service . We had called 3 times from hotel phone but nobody pick up the phone . Firstly the staff, they are all really lovely and cannot do enough for you. When we checked in we realised that we had accidentally booked the wrong week! But this wasn’t an issue as we were given a better room for the same price! In fact, we actually enjoyed our stay that much we ended up staying for 14 nights! The location is great, there’s plenty to do, lots of great cheap restaurants and the beach is less than a few minutes walk. Initially it was hard to find as it’s placed in an old shopping centre on the 2nd floor. We took the escalators but there is also a lift. Once you get inside, the secure front door the reception is modern and clean, 24hr help is always available and the rooms lock with a physical key. You get way more than you’d expect for the price. Modern clean rooms with refurbished en suite with rainfall shower. Hot water at all times and reliable WiFi. Tea and coffee 24/7 too! And breakfast everyday until 11am!! Every 3 days we got clean towels, fresh sheets and the room was cleaned. Some guests have complained about the noise from the charaoke which is on the same floor but our room was the closest to this and we were never kept up, the latest would could just about hear it was 23:30 but this was on a Saturday night! The only downsides, albeit small, were the lack of variety at breakfast, lack of natural light in the rooms due to the windows facing into the shopping centre so the curtains should be closed, and the WiFi was a bit slow, but only noticeable if streaming HD videos, for general web surfing it was more than capable! Overall me and my partner were very happy with our 2 weeks we spent here, we felt very safe and relaxed and you can’t argue with the price! It saved us a lot of money on our 6 month trip and was one our favourite place we stayed in Penang! Thank you once again, if we are ever in Malaysia again we will be sure to visit :)
