Holiday Inn Express & Suites Barrie

This was our first time staying at this particular hotel but it won’t be my last. My husband and I were return from a flight from Las Vegas and we hadn’t slept for at least 24 hours…we were so tired. I thought I would see if the hotel could give us a room earlier than check in time. Haidee was the desk clerk and when I explained our situation she gave us an early checkin. I feel she was our guardian angel. All the staff at this hotel were so friendly and everyone we met greeted us. The beds were very comfortable And the warm breakfast in the morning was very good & plentiful. Good variety of items. It is in a good location close to restaurants & shopping. Keep up the great job!

Easy access offf highway 400. Lots of restaurants within walking distance Good rate for a nice room. Indoor pool and hot tub. Continental breakfast was great … eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, waffles, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. All good!

Breakfast is very rich and there are many options. It is suitable for taking children and encountering many local parents to take their children to stay together, perhaps for extracurricular activities. The parking lot is quite big. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
Four Points by Sheraton Barrie

The pros: Nice sized rooms with fridges and microwaves. The cons: Beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows were the worst. Hotel is getting rundown, signs of aging. The rooms were tidy but by no means clean. The main reason we booked was because I had recently staid at another four points and it was absolutely amazing. This was no where near in the same category. We mainly booked for the pool/hottub. The hottub was fine but the ”heated” pool was colder than our northern lakes. We inquired about having the pool temperature looked at and were told that ”the pool is fine” we had to call down on our first night because the people under us were letting their children run around and scream at 1200 in the morning. The front desk never followed up with us.

I have lived in this hotel in the United States and other parts of Canada. In general, the price is OK. The location of this hotel is good, the traffic is quite convenient, Asian supermarkets can be bought in four or five minutes, and there are many restaurants nearby for dinner. The breakfast at this hotel is OK, the quality and taste are good, the variety is small, the children and the elderly are very much in the morning, if you want to eat the waffles you have to wait for a long time, because the children DIY waffle There are more cakes, so I think I should be able to have an extra bed. It is more convenient to park here, telling the front desk that my license plate number is free to park. The regret is: the room that just entered this hotel is very hot. It will be fine after turning on the air conditioner for ten minutes. Another point is that the facilities are old, the sink is very slow and slow, the water is seeping, and it is not good to use. !
Super 8 by Wyndham Barrie South

I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at Super 8 as I thought of it as an economical hotel with less fuss. I was pleased with my rooms cleanliness & decor. My family stopped in & they thought it was a nice room as well. I was there for only one night as we were there to help family but considering when your in a pinch & you need a nice clean room Super 8 will satisfy your needs.
