Hotels near Ticino Swiss-Italian Restaurant in Banff

Very warm and friendly staff members upon arrival who gave us all the necessary information and directions in an efficient manner. The sauna / steam room area was unfortunately closed but due to this if you went to the Banff Upper Hot Springs and returned with your receipt then they would reimburse you (I forgot to get my receipt but it was fine as we intended to go there anyway). The room was lovely and large with a Mountain View, Nespresso machine and large TV, lots of desk space and plug sockets / USB ports which was great. The wardrobe has plenty of hangers for clothing, lots of draw space, huge bathroom with a large powerful shower and nice shower products to use. The location of the hotel is perfect and having an on-site restaurant, coffee shop and gift shop is very handy. Wherever we went within the hotel it was always warm, which was great when coming out of the snow. However, there were some issues; we weren’t sure if the blinds went down with a switch by the side, as it didn’t do anything, but rolling them down was SO noisy, there was a lot of dust and dirt behind the window facing desk, a random satsuma down the side of the cabinet with the Nespresso machine on (despite all other areas being very clean) and there was no light in the corner where the luggage stands were. We were also curious as to why the heater / air conditioner unit faces directly on to the bed, if it was on then you got so hot and dry in the night. There is big potential for this to be 4/5* with just some simple adjustments and cleaning. Although we would happily say here again.

We stayed 2 nights at Irwin's Mountain Inn in Banff in July 2022 and I would not stay there again. The parking is limited for vans/trucks and you have to race to find a spot. Our room was on the 3rd floor and it was not very clean. The mini kitchen sink was full of water spots and the coffee maker's filter holder was not not washed or cleaned (there were no coffee filters in the kitchen either so we couldn't have coffee in room). The carpet in the room was very old and made my socks dirty. The AC filter was super dusty and hasn't been cleaned in months! You can literally see a layer of 5 cm of dust on the AC filter! The hotel is located a 5-7 minute walk from downtown Banff so not recommended for those who are unable to walk a lot. There was no water cooler only an ice machine so you have to buy your own water bottles. The nice thing about this room was the bathroom amenities (shampoo/conditioner/body wash were attached to the wall so no mess and no small samples to use). However they clearly left notes in the room that if you take lotion or soap, you will be charged $20 on your credit card per item. For a $400 per night charge, I find that to be a little disappointing!

We returned last week from a 6 night stay at this hotel. We requested a large room with balcony and easy access to parking, since we are in our 80s. We also requested air conditioning, which not all of their rooms have. Kudos to Lily for helping us choose the perfect room for us. Our room was modern and spatious, with a kitchenette with microwave, stovetop, coffeemaker, and refrigerator. The large bathroom had loads of counter space and an extra large stall shower. There was a small table with two chairs for enjoying breakfasts in our room. Location of the hotel was also ideal for us. We were surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery - away from the noise and traffic in the heart of the city, although only a few minutes away from the fantastic restaurants in Banff. As others have mentioned, this hotel provides bus passes for travel to the downtown area, with bus stops virtually at the hotel doorstep, which we used daily. It only took a few minutes on the bus to get into the heart of the city, which is so much easier than driving through Banff and trying to find convenient parking. Highly recommended!!

Super cozy and comfy hotel. Stayed here with my partner in July, where we went for a hiking vacay in Banff. The room was a good size, and I loved the private double-tub after a long hike! The pool area was okay, could have been cleaner, but okay facilities. A special shout out to our receptionist, a great young woman (didn’t get her name) who offered brilliant hiking recommendations and was generally just super cool and helpful! The complimentary roam pass offered by the hotel was great for transportation, but a good to know is that it does only covers local routes, thus not routes to Lake Louise or Johnston Canyon (these must be bought separately). The hotel is good, the bedding is especially comfortable, the hotel has a sense of history, and the breakfast is good (but the description of the breakfast price on Ctrip's website is wrong, which made me pay 5 Canadian dollars more for each person's daily breakfast at the store!!) I hope that Ctrip make it clear

Stayed one night. Check in was fast. Room was renovated, looked like brand new, clean and big. Undergound parking. If you drive a high vehicle, then underground parking is not for you, max hight js 5'10”. The only thing we didn't like it, it is not very well soundproofed. We could hear when people on the second floor flashed the toilet... Woud i stay again or recomend to my friends? Definitely, YES.

Without breakfast, the loft suite is particularly convenient and suitable for a family. The bed is comfortable, the location is good, you can walk to Banff town on foot, the parking lot is smart, you can enter and exit at will by entering the password, and the elevator goes straight to the floor, which is very convenient

A cozy and warm place to stay in Banff! The location is really good, and the room is well-cleaned. All the people there are nice and willing to help. We have great time there :)

The hotel is located on the mountain, a distance from the city center of Banff, you need to take the bus down the mountain, walk for about 15-20 minutes, the scenery along the way is beautiful, you can encounter animals! The rooms in the hotel are spacious and comfortable, with kitchenettes and balconies, fully equipped, full of sunshine, and beautiful scenery from the balconies

blackstone is a very comfortable hotel. It has an indoor heated swimming pool and two warm Jacuzzis perfect for winter use. I especially like to take a bath in the outdoor massage pool because the surrounding mountain scenery is very beautiful, especially when it snows outside, it is a great pleasure to watch the snow scene in the massage pool. The hotel rooms are clean and well appointed, the beds are comfortable, and the staff are friendly. If you want to have a relaxing and pleasant vacation in the cold winter, I highly recommend blackstone mountain lodge, it will give you extraordinary enjoyment. The facilities and services here are very comfortable.
