I was here with my wife from April 25-29, 2024. It’s a beautiful, calm villa resort with little huts facing the ocean. Our hut was #8, the last in the row so it felt quite private. The villa itself was clean and the staff were exceptionally nice. The pool was refreshing, clean, and quiet. It’s a diving resort and we were some of the few people who weren’t diving. The upside of this was that there were no screaming children or loud parties. It’s truly a quiet and peaceful getaway - which is what we were looking for. There weren’t a lot of people at the resort when we stayed there so it was great. We woke up every morning to watch the spectacular sunrises. It was one of my favourite parts of this vacation. The food was OK, the breakfasts are typical of any fare you get at a hotel/resort. The dinner menu was pretty good and the drinks were OK. There isn’t much to see outside the resort. It’s far removed from the hustle and bustle - unlike resorts in the more popular south of the island. If you’re looking to relax and unwind, this is a good resort to do it in. I had very few complaints. The major one was that there was some burning going on one of the nights there where the smoke was so strong that it woke us up at 4am. I thought there was a fire but it turns out there wasn’t - apparently there is an issue with burning garbage at night in Bali and unfortunately - this happened one of the nights that we stayed there. It was vile. I’d like to stress that this wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but we were down wind of this so I have to mention that it might happen. I would highly recommend this resort for a quiet relaxing couples vacation, and obviously, if you’re into diving!

We had a lovely stay at Alam anda for our honeymoon. Everybody was sweet and the service was in top. They made special bread for my gluten allergy. The food and the hygiene was perfect. The only thing not so good is that the hotel is far away from everything. So you need a car or taxi to get anywhere and the 3 hour ride from the airport is long and bumpy. But just enjoy the beautiful nature along the way. My husband took scuba lessons and for that the hotel is perfect.

We stayed at the Alam Anda for 4 nights. We had an ocean view bungalow. Our stay was the most relaxing experience. The resort is situated right by the ocean, the perfect scenery to enjoy a good book, a cocktail and delicious food whenever you want it. Their restaurant is open all day and all evening. They will bring you your order wherever you are in the complex. A 5 star service. Needless to say, the staff were all super friendly. The resort is kept in superb order. We didn’t go there to dive or snorkel although it looked like the guests that did enjoyed themselves. There is little to do outside of the resort but this did not matter to us as we wanted a chilled and relaxed time.

Clean and comfortable bungalow. Nice resort. Good restaurant. Great staff. However, their site led me to believe there would be yoga on site. There was not. Also the spa was disappointing. Lovely staff, but massages were below par. Booked the 130 minutes treatment but was left alone for half an hour of that. The full body massage was okay. The ‘Ayurvedic’ head massage was anything but that and very short. As was the sea salt foot spa and massage. If you are a diver this is a great place to go as they have their own diving school and daily excursions. If you want nothing more than to relax, sunbathe and eat lovely food this is also fine. But if you book for yoga and spa treatments (as had I), forego this place. However lovely the setting and the staff might be.

This place could not be more beautiful with the most lovely and helpful staff. Gorgeous villas, many oceanfront, with a pool from someone's dream. Recommend their driver Budhi- great teacher, smart, funny, informed, so kind. Not just a great driver but a thoughtful and real person.

The location is right on the ocean and is wonderful. The buildings are in traditional Balinese style. We had the 2 bedroom villa, not sure why as it was just 2 of us. It had a wonderful porch with daybed as well as a large green space oceanfront . The staff are very friendly and helpful but seem to be a bit disgruntled as they had very little hours of work. We noted that none of the staff called us by name. We we’re identified by our room. There was a yoga pavilion that was used by a private group, so there was no opportunity offered to the other guests. It would have also been helpful to have an orientation when we got there, for example we did not know about Happy Hour until about 3 days in. A few things to consider to make this prime location a 5 star are the following. The mattress was super uncomfortable, we had backaches every morning. The buildings, although charming, could use updating. Ie, our toilet broke 2x. We we’re there 8 days and the breakfast became same old same old. Dinner menu could have incorporated a daily chef special. Right on the ocean, you’d think a catch of the day would be lovely. The resort attracts many” charming Germans” tourist. Let’s just say not a lot of opportunities to connect with the other guests. Perhaps expand the promotion to other countries. We saw a gym and gift shop, neither was open or accessible. No explanation given. The one thing that upset us the most that we we’re told ahead of time that we couldn’t get a taxi from the airport to the resort as it’s 3 hour drive. We found out later that indeed you can for a much lesser price. Taxi charges about $50 verses resort $120. This dishonesty will make us not return. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
