Excellent stay on every level. Comfortable bed, very spacious room, well appointed; 2 separate bathrooms with all the toiletries needed; coffee machine with complimentary coffee pods. Outstanding service starting with the front desk, very friendly and professional personnel including the breakfast service and the cleaning team. Highly recommend this property not only for the room’s comfortably but as well as service and location. Thank you Hotel Carpati for your hospitality.

Excellent stay. Very easy and friendly check in and out. The front desk people, Lucia and Vlad were accommodating in every way possible. The room itself was spacious, well appointed including a coffee machine with pods , a tea maker, and daily complimentary water bottles. Very comfortable bed, 2 large bathrooms in the room with all the toiletries needed. In the morning , the complimentary breakfast with cold and hot dishes plus we were offered special breakfast to order as well.
There is free parking, plentiful, on premises, we didn’t make use of it.
Truly recommend this property when in Baia Mare for quality of service, professionalism and friendliness of personal and location-right in the middle of everything, walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, Old Town.

Took a long weekend trip to baia mare for the wedding of some friends. The hotel was very nice with the best customer service (they even ironed my suit etc while I was getting ready due to delays at the UK airport making me extremely late). I then travel by taxi to my friends apar**ent where his family treated me like one of there own. After the wedding I had several nights out with the grooms family and everyone I met wether there friends or complete strangers were so nice. During my days out alone walking around the city I always felt safe and all the people seemed so friendly and helpful. So trip over and time to go home and the the English speaking locals even explained to the bus driver where I needed to go. This place is so beautiful and the people so friendly. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to see the real romania to visit baia mare. You won't be disappointed.

Back to Baia Mare this year for a family wedding and always welcomed so warmly by the staff at Hotel Carpati. Never anything too little or too large they will try their best to make your stay the most comfortable. Spotless hotel, rooms large and comfortable, totally accommodating for those from Ireland and England that like their black tea with milk !!! my parents love returning every year with us. perfect location short walk from centre of old town. Don't bother looking anywhere else - just book here!

We had a family emergency in Baia Mare and this property offered us a real home away from home. The room was very clean, spacious, with 2 large bathrooms very well equipped with everything one needs, coffee machines with pods , tea maker and daily complimentary bottled water, very comfortable bed. The daily complimentary breakfast was bountiful, hot and cold dishes,coffee and teas, plus they would make us breakfast to order as well. Very accommodating front desk personnel Lucia and Vlad with a lot of suggestions about places to see or things to do. Parking was with easy access, on premises. Truly the best place to lodge when in Baia Mare for quality of service , hospitality of personnel and location, walking distance to everything this city has to offer including some exceptional restaurants. Thank you Hotel Carpati for your hospitality.

The very best lodging in Baia Mare. Location is perfect, right in the center, walking distance to touristic places, a lot of good restaurants and coffee shops. The room was spacious, very comfortable bed, two bathrooms. The room furnishings is a bit outdated but comfortable. Service was prompt, excellent, they provide a complimentary coffee machine with coffee pods in the room Very helpful front desk, professional, accommodating ,friendly. The complimentary breakfast was very good, hot and cold prepared with local fresh ingredients. Highly recommend this hotel, the best in everything in Baia Mare.

Large rooms. In fact, we got two bathrooms, of which only one had light. All in all, the hotel appears a bit "al**odish".
Where the hotel really sucks is at breakfast. We arrived at 8 o'clock, and the accompanying picture of the breakfast buffet speaks for itself. And that's how it continued to look. At one point I managed to save a small omelette. It was eaten with a spoon, as you obviously didn't have any more clean knives and forks. Oh yes. The next day we trooped up at 7. At that time there was still food on the buffet, but it probably wasn't exciting.
