Holiday Inn Express & Suites Atlanta Buckhead

I stayed here last night. I checked in and the shower was dripping. The unit is a fiberglass unit and the drip made a noise that can drive you crazy. So I picked up the phone to call for maint or a new room and the phone is totally dead. I get moved as there was no maint on duty. The new room was 401 and that is against the street which is full of numbskulls racing and going nowhere but in circles with their jazzed up noise machines. The internet was just 6.89 download too. I gave up trying to upgrade to windows 11. Also worn and stained carpet in places including your way out the the parking lot in floor 2. The breakfast was ok though and they have 24 hour free coffee. Overall though this a a poor quality if you you have stayed in other Holiday Inn Express this one may not measure up.

Hyatt Centric Midtown Atlanta

Almost always leave 5/5 for Hyatt properties but this was disappointing, especially as a globalist. We arrived around 1 am and had to stand out in the chilly weather for a solid 5 minutes before anyone would let us in. Upon checking in, I wasn’t greeted as a globalist, offered water, offered breakfast directions, or given any other direction on the property. When I asked about the self parking the gentleman simply said yes there’s self parking and didn’t give any direction. Our key card didn’t work for the parking garage so we had to print a ticket. When we tried to get our car out, we got stuck on the top level of the garage reserved for the hotel because again the key card wouldn’t work. We had to sit and wait 15 minutes for an employee to open the gate. And of course we couldn’t open the gate at the exit either and had to wait again. We decided to do valet to avoid this disaster again. When we checked in there were no luggage carts and we had to wait 15 minutes for them to track one down. During our stay, I texted the phone number asking for a few items and they only brought about half of what I asked for. Didn’t bother asking again because i kept getting let down by the service. When we checked out, the lady working was extremely nice and the best person we had. When I asked for our water for the day, they somehow didn’t have any water to give. How are you out of water when one of hyatts perks is literally bottled water? When we checked out there wasn’t a valet person working so we had to get our own car. What’s the point of valet if you have to get your own car? I’m usually treated very well at hyatts and have stayed at the centric brand in Denver and have only had great experiences. This was a major letdown.
Hotel Clermont Atlanta, by Oliver

My friend and I stayed three nights at Hotel Clermont while visiting Atlanta. Great experience! The hotel served as an intriguing backdrop to our visit, enhanced by its decor, history, and, most importantly, its staff. First, Patrick (cafe barista) greeted us every morning with a beautiful smile, great conversation, and much-welcomed, early morning exuberance. What a great way to start the day! We felt as though we had our own guide to Atlanta with informed recommendations he provided for breakfast (Home Grown Restaurant), nightlife, and caveats. Additionally, front desk personnel were welcoming and always willing to help. Finally, our cadre of valet attendants were always on hand to
Residence Inn Atlanta Buckhead

We would stay here again. 4 stars is really just because outside it’s the older style Residence with outdoor room entry, stairs required (which may not work for some), parking costs $ for some reason, and the deposit is oddly high. However, the penthouse room is very spacious and felt like we’d rented an AirBnB instead of a hotel room. It’s 2 floors - King bedroom w/tv, desk, and full bath on lower and queen, with tv and full bath on upper, living room with tv, chair, couch, and ottoman, kitchen and kitchen table. Really plenty of room for a family! There was breakfast and a gym, though we were here for a shorter visit and didn’t use the gym. Check in was ok. Parking is $12.50/day which is weird because it’s just lot parking. Deposit is $250 for penthouses, which was a surprise to a young lady checking in when we were who was not prepared, so just a heads up on that. Overall, we’d stay here again! The room was very, very clean. No issues whatsoever.
