This hotel represents good value for money in Athens. I selected a room with a delightful balcony and interesting street views - there is also tiny park opposite. The desk was fine to complete several hours of work. The air-conditioned worked extremely well. I also appreciated the mini fridge in the room, which many hotels with Athens don't have. However, the bathroom was little tiny. Its about 10 min walk to Omonia Metro station, which offers a direct line to the port area. There is an excellent supermarket about 10 min walk from the hotel. This area feels more like the real Athens, rather than hotels in tourist zones. This zone has wonderful multicultural feel. In the same street of this hotel, there are excellent hairdressers for $5 Euro a cut and fantastic stores to buy discount clothes and bags. I would certainly recommended this hotel for travellers that appreciate value for money and with great amenities like balcony and fridge.

Tiny, old school style rooms. Small toilet that just about fits the door. Bed is hard and nothing to rave about. Probably good for just 1 night and you just want a cheap place to crash. Near the metro station and it is a direct line to Piraeus port if you are travelling to the islands from Athens.

The sound insulation is not good and the cleaning noise is very loud.

Inside the hotel itself is adequate, the room was clean and featured all expected amenities including hot water. The area in which the hotel is situated, however, is far from salubrious and I was not expecting the amount of homelessness, litter and seediness which I experienced. This was particularly challenging to navigate a night. For a location which is 20-30 min walk from the centre, this meant that navigating through this area multiple times a day was unavoidable and had I known more about the area I was staying in then I would not have booked this hotel.

I stayed on the 6th floor. The room was so small and dirty. Beds were uncomfortable and bed sheets were very dirty, the same with pillows. The worst part was the toilet, less than 1m² , you have to do some yoga moves in order to get in and close the door. Taking a shower was a nightmare, you can't move your hands freely while showering, everywhere was so dirty. Cleaning ladies used to do a lot of noise on that floor every morning and didn't let to sleep well. Overall 0/5 for everything.

I do not recommend hiring any accommodation in this place at all. The first day when we arrived at the rooms, we found many (literally) cockroaches, running inside the sheets and the floor, in addition to dried blood stains on the sheet and the bathroom flooded. We filed a complaint at the Pergamos hotel in Athens and obviously we urgently left for another accommodation. We reported everything that happened to the Reception requesting a refund for that night that, obviously, we were not going to spend at that hotel. The hotel gave us REGRETTABLE treatment arguing that they can't do anything. We even showed them on-site photos and videos of the cockroaches and blood and bathrooms. And yet, they have charged us for that night that we did not enjoy. / I absolutely do not recommend hiring any accommodation at this place. To be concise the only thing I can say CLOSE. The hotel is located in an incredibly dirty and seedy area of Athens. The hotel is perfectly suited to the surrounding context. Hygiene is an unknown concept in this structure, even the myriad of animals that populate it know it. The bathroom is practically comparable to a public bathroom. The shower is the jewel in the crown with its moldy curtain. The rooms welcome you with the stench of old smoke. The bed is to be discovered for comfort and cleanliness. The air conditioner cannot be used due to bad smell and noise. The rest is still to be discovered but I think I've got the idea.

The hotel is in a very unsafe neighborhood that is scary at night (and during the day too). But the worst thing is that when we arrived, they gave us room 305, and as soon as we opened the door we saw many small cockroaches running all over the room! We told the receptionist (who was at least friendly and looked for a solution), and they gave us a room in another hotel a 15-minute walk away. We had to walk this journey alone at 1 in the morning in a very hostile environment, with very strange people on the street. When we arrived at the other hotel (Socrates Hotel) the impression was not much better, and they also gave us the worst room they had available: a cellar with no windows to the outside. The worst experience of the trip to Athens without a doubt. I recommend paying a little more and looking for other accommodation in another neighborhood, because a place like this can ruin your vacation!
