Jazz Hotel Ascona

It was a really nice 6 day stay: the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and a good size, with a beautiful balcony view. I really appreciated the extras, like the nice coffee machine, included water bottles and free bus tickets. It over all other options in Ascona because of the good location near my conference venue, and having the option to not pay for breakfast (which didn't suit my work schedule).

We liked the jazz theme and the interior of the Jazz Hotel, it is modern but not overdone or stuffy. The hotel was renovated a few years ago and is maintained well. Common areas and rooms are clean. Hotel is by the side of the one-way street leading into Ascona city center, so there is some road noise but it dies down in the evening and didn't bother us much despite having the balcony door open. Location is great, only a 5 minute walk to the lake. Breakfast is good quality and sufficient, but not elaborate. Freely available espresso/cappuccino machine in the lobby is a nice touch, along with lots of local information and magazines. Parking structure under the hotel is very convenient, although parking has a small extra charge. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a very good stay and plan to come back. This is a great mid-budget option on the Swiss side of Lago Maggiore,

We rented three rooms to accommodate our extended family. It was not the cheapest option in town but also not in the upper side. The room's size was good, very clean, nice bathroom and even a balcony where to sit and enjoy the sun (whenever it decided to grace us with its presence). The breakfast was just right, with the right food and drinks. The attention of the staff was superb; they even set up a crib in the room for our baby. Another nice touch was the 24 hr access to a coffee machine in the reception area. There is a garage in the premises for an additional daily cost but I found it useful and at a good price. The closeness to the city center is a huge plus as we had to move ourselves around with all the baby equipment. Would I book it again, definitely. Thanks for the attention!

Good location, friendly service. Overall great value, especially with Ticino Ticket which is valid on most public transportation in Ticino and rebates on a lot of Attractions.
