The Seaview, East Preston

My husband & I were down from Scotland for a friends 80th birthday. Not having been to the area before I researched a few hotels and decided on The Seaview, it didn’t disappoint. It is a small boutique hotel with five bedrooms, the room we had was quite small, the bed was king size and very comfortable. The decor was very nice, lovely small bathroom. It was fine for us, we were out all day at friends. We were there for four nights, dined in two nights. We found the staff very helpful and attentive,the food was excellent, my husband had the Wagyu steak, said it was the best he ever had! Breakfasts were very good too, the yogurt, granola, berries, lovely, smoked salmon & scrambled eggs was excellent too. Be aware though breakfasts are not included in the room rate. We went Arundel Castle for the day, highly recommend it for a visit, so much history! Lovely tea shops in the town. I would recommend The Seaview!

An absolute gem on the Sussex coast. Beautiful boutique hotel with fabulous food and hospitality. Rooms are well appointed, exceptionally clean and comfortable. Waking up and looking out to the sea was a treat. The staff were friendly and professional. I can imagine it gets busy in the summer as the locals use the pub and restaurant, so book early. We’ll definitely be back.

We have eaten at the Sea View a number of times and came last night for a valentines meal. We both agreed it was the BEST meal we have had here, actually one of the best meals we have had in a very long time. We both had scallops to start and had the ribeye to share from the valentines menu. The steak was absolutely perfect! The chimichurri sauce was the best I’ve had, fresh and delicious! Vegetable ms cooked just right and the tomatoes and basil consommé was a show stopper (as we mentioned would make a great addition to the cocktail menu as a Bloody Mary). Service was fabulous, attentive but not overbearing. All in all a great night. Thank you all for a lovely valentines. x

Walking along coast and found the Seaview at East Preston for lunch , good choice of menu and superb food. Great position just yards off coastal path. Note to owners- it would be a good idea to have a sign on the coastal path to show where you are .

Fabulous breakfast for family birthday. Really good choice which catered for all dietary needs & the coffee was delicious! The service by the male waiter was fabulous & great attention to detail. Well worth a visit. Have recommended to friends to try.

I would thoroughly recommend The Seaview Hotel, the location is amazing so close to the beach! The staff are all very welcoming and attentive an nothing was too much trouble. The decor in the room and the restaurant was stunning so much attention to detail. We had dinner in the restaurant and breakfast the next day, the food was so good! We will definitely be booking again and would love to come back in the summer to enjoy all the outdoor areas!

Fantastic from start to finish. A lovely evening of superb food and wine, excellent service, a terrific night's sleep and then topped off with the best English breakfast I have ever had! This will be the first of many visits! Congratulations to all involved. A terrific place with a lovely atmosphere.

Excellent Hotel. Newly refurbished so all looking good. Breakfast was really good Great chef. Shame i didnt sample any other meals. Shame also i couldn't spend more time there.

On arrival we found out there is nearly no parking space (I estimate 7 cars can park) and most cars parked are people who come to dine or drink there ... I would assume that you provide reserved spaces for hotel guests ... anyway had to park in neighbouring streets ! As we booked this long time ago I did not look on my *********** document untill I had paid the bill and then realised the following. We booked a deluxe room with king size bed but got a very little room and a toilet/shower room where you cannot move with 2 persons so there is no way this is a deluxe room with kingsize bed !! Next morning the shower did not work, staff came to check and confirmed this and we got a key for the next room to shower ... had to walk half naked in hallway and the next room was a deluxe room with a kingsize bed ... so the room existed but we did not get it. After paying the bill I checked my *********** doc and found out we were overcharged 10 pounds ! I went back in and had to discuss for 5 minutes to get my 10 pounds back ... no excuses ... just saying all the time that their computer stated 185 pounds instead of 175 pounds and that they could not adjust it ... they sure know how to make someone angry after not giving us the room we booked with a shower that did not work and then trying to overcharge ! We found out there are better places in the area with higher standards so never again The Seaview !!
