I can't say enough good things about the Pousada Maravista. For the past year we've been planning a group trip to Buzios for my 50th birthday and the entire team at the Maravista made our stay a truly amazing experience for all 11 of us. The entire staff was so welcoming and extremely attentive and everyone went out of the way to make our stay truly perfect. The hotel has two pools. One on the beach with amazing views of the ocean and the other in the hotel's interior courtyard. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's right on Geriba beach and only a quick cab ride into the center of town (Rua das Pedras). All the rooms are really comfortable, very clean and have AC, cable tv, a small refrigerator and bathrooms with walk in showers. Breakfast (included in the stay) is excellent with a wide selection of fresh fruits and juices, pastries, cheeses, meats, breads, eggs, etc. Snacks and other meals from the hotel are also delicious and can be delivered poolside or to the beach. Cocktails can also be delivered to the pool deck or beach, including some of the best caipirinhas we had in all of Brazil. I totally recommend the Pousada Maravista to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Buzios. I can't wait to go back!!

Excellent option in Buzios. Go for the rooms with sea view and balcony! (And try to wake uo early to watch the sunrise) The Hotel has 2 pools and one jacuzzi (which is great by night). The staff is very friendly and food is great! Geriba Beach is the best beach in Buzios for surfing.

It was the worst experience in a place I didn't stay. When leaving the beach, my wife felt like peeing and we asked the employee to use the bathroom and he refused. I argued that it was difficult for women, but I was ignored. How foolish!
