Hotels with Breakfast in Amarillo

I was at the 1Hotel July just days after the 4th. After reading reviews , my decision was it was a 50-50 chance of having either a great or terrible experience . It sounded interesting at the very least to see this historic hotel and the price was great. It did not disappoint . I looked for the dreaded bugs or any kind of shabbiness . Yes the room upstairs near a large cherub statue had carpet that smelled a little musty at first but it was a very large and comfortable room with ornate surroundings . The pool had water but I never saw anyone in it during my short overnight stay . The staff was very friendly and pleasant at all times. Negatives can only be found by whining about the fact that I thought it was on walkable streets as I had imagined . Yes the parking lot had a few questionable people in it at night . What public parking lot in a large city doesn’t ? The strangest thing to me was seeing the dining area tables and floors were cleaned by 9 am and I saw no traces of people or food or coffee . Final analysis - seems a little other worldly and is extremely nice despite price and some bad reviews .

The hotel is very big and there are quite a lot of people staying during our Thanksgiving holiday. The room is big enough and the basic facilities are new enough, but there is a thin layer of scale on all kinds of glass, which may be related to the water quality. During the covid period, the hotel’s breakfast is to send out a packing box and go for breakfast like a canteen. There are various types of doughnuts, cakes and fruits for cold food, and oatmeal scrambled eggs, sausages and fries for hot food. There are almost no free parking spaces in the hotel. There is a garage across the street for 7 yuan a day. There are many (more than ten) street parking spaces at the door. It is free all day on weekends and evenings on weekdays.

We knew we would be driving in from a long day trip so wanted a comfortable room so selected the suite. It has a separate bed room and It was worth it! Breakfast was hot and had a nice room atmosphere. Coffee was good.

It was a hotel in many countries, so it was good to stay in facilities and room conditions. I used it for business trips, but it would be nice to use it when I come to play.

Driving cross country and had to find a place to sleep and if it's a great find

I don’t expect too much for the American economy hotel. This hotel is great value for money. The pig skin for breakfast is delicious.

I was checking in while my husband was parking the car. To sketch the situation, I am a tiny white haired woman. The woman at the frontdesk was very friendly and nice, but she was new to the frontdesk, so when I asked her if we could pay cash, she called her supervisor if this was a possibility, which it was. While she was calling, my husband walked in, standing next to me waiting. Again to sketch the situation, my husband is a white male famous tattooartist, abviously covered in tattoos. The woman checking us in was still normal, super friendly telling us that paying cash is not a problem, while she gets a call back from her superior. And she honestly hung up the phone, shocked. She had to decline our request to stay over night because her superior looked on the camera and did not allowed us to stay due to the fact that my husband is covered in tattoos.

We had an early morning flight and opted to stay here because of past good experiences. Very clean, friendly staff and very close to the hospital and medical facilities. Early morning the drive across town to the airport was easy, 15 minutes.

The sanitation and cleaning work is not in place, and there are stains on the refrigerator and counter. Others are supreme, breakfast generally depends on everyone's needs!
