Hello Firstly I’d like to say don’t listen to half these bad reviews . People that say it’s in the middle of no where clearly haven’t done any research prior to booking this hotel , which absolutely baffles me. El Campello and San Juan are a 10 minute cab journey or car if you have one away. Two beautiful beaches for the family or couples to enjoy. There’s a few small shops and bars 5 minute walk from hotel if you want something different. As for the hotel , it’s been updated since we last went , rooms currently still under going refurbs , we had top floor overlooking the pool it was a stunning view every morning and a very spacious room for me and my kids and wife. We have stayed at this hotel twice before and also my parents have had apartments they bought in the bonalba complex. For me personally to not have many English there is bliss I don’t come away on holiday to see English , I like the culture of the Spanish and the fact I try to speak some to which is good. No idea why people say it’s not a clean hotel , there was a cleaner in the toilets every single morning without fail , spotless and the pool area was so clean every time we went down there. Food was a great selection we had full board , every meal we had was brilliant and the staff always stocked up when the buffet got low on food. I will say if you don’t like waiting in queues or waiting in general to be served for drinks at the bar or reception then this isn’t the place for you neither is any of Spain 😂 they are very relaxed people and they take there time and you have to respect that. Overall for me I had a fantastic 8 days got back yesterday , my kids loved it and I will give one more special mention to AMY the animation team , she is outstanding with kids I mean the best I’ve ever seen with them , she is truly gifted, made everyone feel welcome always smiling , loads of energy and she had kids around her all day they were in awe of her , my three children loved her , please show her this review whoever reads this from hotel bonalba , I forgot to say bye to her as couldn’t find her on final day ( just say to her I was the dad of Jenson and Rocco the twins ) from south London she will know who we are , she’s not back until Tuesday night I believe so maybe she could read it then I wish her the best in life ,a superb dancer too. After a disaster with Airbnb that placed us in front of the door without keys to access the accommodation, having to sleep 2:00 in the car waiting for a solution, we managed to find a room at 1:00 . We were out of a wedding and we were tired. In this hotel we managed to find a clean, welcoming bed. And our dear Ivan really welcomed us very well, listening, and carefully to our needs. Very Top!

I spent 5 nights here in the beginning of January 2023. For people with healthy legs, the hotel is a walking distance away from the Alicante city centre. The location is a little bit hidden down a hill; be prepared to go down and up some stairs during your stay. Otherwise the location was not that awkward in my opinion as some people have commented. Lovely sea views, the sunrises and sunsets were amazing. Very importantly, don't trust Google Maps GPS too much when you approach the hotel from the city centre via the avenue Villajoyosa! At least for me Maps placed the hotel somewhere inside the big mountain nearby, which was obviously incorrect. So if Maps does the same to you, keep walking, there will be hotel signs further the Villajoyosa avenue. The hotel was pretty good for a 3 star hotel, a tad luxurious even. It had everything needed. Gym, tennis court, pool (not open in the Winter months), restaurant, 24 h reception. Very helpful staff and good cleaning. No coffee/tea making facilities or a fridge inside the rooms, but you can request them for free from the reception. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, loved the views in the cafeteria though! There were some issues with my room, but the staff promptly took action and changed my room from a standard to a superior one. The standard room was a bit chilly, and in the superior room you could hear people's conversations in other rooms. But no biggie, I could sleep just fine. All in all, it was a very good stay for a 3 star hotel! I didn't expect too much and was pleasantly surprised.

We arrived very late in the night. The hotel entrance was inviting and the lobby was clean and pretty decent. The hotel check-in staff was very friendly and helpful. She checked us in and even assisted us with getting a hot meal despite how late it was. We then proceeded to find our room. The first thing we noticed was that the hallway on the floor was poorly lit, but we were tired so we jut cheked for our room and went it. On entering the room, it smelt unpleasant. There was a smell of old dust. We then went inside the bathroom. That was an awful experience. The toilet had dried urination stains, the shower vent was filled with dust and the bathroom wasn't fresh. We then tried to turn on the television and it wouldnt work. We called the front desk and the check-in staff offered to come to our room. She broguth a new remote to asisst with the television. We complained about the room and asked if we could be moved. She said the room we got was for disabled persons and hadnt been used in a while ( which was obvious) but it also wasnt clean. She offered to try and get us into a new room the next day for which we were grateful. We tried to endure but had trouble sleeping because the air conditioner was filled with dust. We eventually fell asleep and by the net morning I couldnt breathe. My nose was stuffy and I felt like i was choking on dust. We decided to just check out early and find another place as at this point we just had enough. We checked out and were told that we would receive a refund for the remaining nights we did not stay. We booked for 3 nights and stayed for 1. A week after we checked out , we receievd an email stating that they will not refund the nights that we did not stay without valid explanation. Highly disappointing! Defintiely won't go back.

We choose this hotel because the location and we were not wrong. Located just besides the port and a few minutes away from the beach and the “Passeig Esplanada d’Espanya” were you can find lost of local restaurants. The room was ok with a balcony and wonderful view of the port.

We stayed here for the weekend during a recent city break. It is true that you get what you pay for and this is the case for Hotel Leuka. The reception and welcome was good. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds. The bathroom is a bath come shower arrangement with good water pressure and temperature the water was hot. The location is in a side street away from the main roads and only a short walk (3 minutes) from a C6 bus stop for transfer to and from the airport. The hotel is quite noisy as having hard (stone) floors with any footsteps or moving furniture can be heard. The walls between rooms are quite thin and people talking can be quite easily heard. Breakfast is plentiful though the scrambled egg and bacon were'luke warm'. There is a bar next door which we sat in for a couple of evenings. The drinks were really inexpensive. We enjoyed walking around the town and to the harbour with a day trip to Benidorm on the train. There's quite a lot to see in a weekend in Alicante and certainly worth a visit.
