Hotel Grand Kaptan - Ultra All Inclusive

THIS IS NOT A 5* hotel at all. Very mediocre. So many complaints it’s ridiculous. I had a bad feeling about this hotel and reviews made it clear that this is not the hotel to come to. If you have decent “high” standards (which should be basic for hotel businesses) AVOID THIS HOTEL SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE FOR A BETTER HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE. Me and my family have gained diarrhoea and bad belly aches. My kids have been vomiting. The whole family have not been eating properly from this hotel and have spent extra money on pot noodles from the shop as we can’t spend too much on other restaurants. The food at this hotel is WACK, very limited ,very boring and on rotation. My sister has come across raw meat. Dirty cutlery and plates. Some rude staff. Lack of English in this hotel makes no sense so sometimes it was hard to communicate basic things such as “more ice in drinks or “well done eggs etc. Bartenders seemed confused on basic drink orders. Bare in mind not all people or staff was rude of course, but for the ones who were it’s a real shame. MANAGER IS TERRIBLE!!!! Customer service is terrible. I asked for more sheets and blankets in order to make myself and child more comfy and I was asked why? This is meant to be 5* ALL INCLUSIVE. Beds are uncomfortable I have better mattresses in my own home (10x better). Tv was fuzzy most of the time again this is meant to be 5*. I’ve read bad reviews and witnessed the same exact things myself I could write such a long detailed review. I asked a bartender for a tissue at the bar and was asked why?????? ( it was so I could blow my child’s nose) I’m not a judgemental person and understand we’re all humans with emotions and a life to deal with but the customer service here is TERRIBLE. No air conditioning throughout the hotel. Room service mini bar man has helped himself into the room after just one knock and had walked in on myself, mum and niece not fully dressed. Bartenders do not listen to orders properly. It’s like a crime to ask for what shouldn’t be a problem at all. Pool area floor, sun loungers and tables are not cleaned properly. Cats have easy access to dining tables and food not hygienic at all. Drains in rooms stink NO DEEP CLEANING, was told to deal with the smell of the dirty pipes you could smell through the sink and shower drain. Pay extra for Wi-Fi and ice lollies ( again this is 5* all inclusive). No lifeguard. Some clean sheets have holes, Tears in them, little Stains. Mediocre room cleaning services, the cleaner seemed like a nice lady but not good enough cleaning.I can clean way better. I bought my own antibacterial wipes. SOFA BED IS HARD AND UNCOMFORTABLE my 4 year old son said these exact words while laying on the sofa bed “ mummy this is like bus seat”. Problem was “solved” by fluffy blankets which changed NOTHING ( I tried to make the sofa bed up myself with in total 6-7 layers of blankets and sheets) No lies or exaggeration within this review. Small beds, terrible shower and bathroom. Rom never gets cleaned Old pictures on webside, much on webside thats not here now. Bad food, does not feel like allinclusive expirience at all. I am very disapointed in grand kaptan

The best holiday we have had in years. My companion is wheelchair bound and the usual views from the balcony are of the car park, rubbish bins or if were lucky, a bush. We had a sea view which was very unexpected and a lovely start to the holiday. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and beach towels and the mini bar was stocked daily and bottled water being left for the kettle. The staff couldn`t have been more helpful and friendly. There is wheelchair access throughout with slopes and lifts. There is a lift down to the tunnel which takes you to the beach. The tunnel is wide, well light and well maintained. Once at the beach there are board walks and a lovely restaurant, sunbeds and even a beach wheelchair for those that may need it. The hotel provide a courtesy bus to main Alanya and the harbour but there is a couple of steps to get in and was not any good for us so we used the local bus which was very reasonably priced as were the taxis. The food was fine with a nice selection and there was always something to eat. The restaurant was nice with plenty of outside seating all of which was wheelchair accessible. All in all a fantastic stress free holiday and have booked to return next year. A big thank you to all of the staff especially Aysun, Cigdem, Burcu, Mehmet (chief entertainment) ,the lovely lady at guest relations and ala carte booking, the two bell boys (one had been there 16 years). I am sorry I cannot remember everyone`s name. Thank you and see you all again

Spent 10 days at the grand kaptan, had an amazing time, hotel rooms are a little dated but who really stays much in the room anyway. Beds comfortable, rooms cleaned daily. The staff are lovely esp the lady in reception and the photographer's, food was good and the view from the sky bar is amazing. A free shuttle bus takes you to and from Alanya town. The beach is just through the tunnel, they have their own private jetty which you can jump into the sea from and where we had our professional photos taken. Already booked a 14 night stay again here in september next year. Such a memorable holiday, am counting down the days till im back again.

The hotel is great, had an amazing experience. The staff is outmost friendly and helpfull😇 I've booked a massage package by Pebri after the session she recomanded to get a couple more session because of the tension in some muscles. After 2 sessions is noticed less tension than before. I think Pebri is amazing and professional

briliant hotel, food good, rooms good, hotel clean, staff friendly, and a brilliant massage opportunity with Sandals - location was good with beach just through the tunnel, good idea having a free bus to Alanya, only downside was it took about 2.5 hours in the transfer to get to the hotel

Where do I start. Upon arrival I was told at 5am that I am not allowed to wear my Burkini in the swimming pool due to hygiene purposes. This is not advertised anywhere in their website and no where around the pool. I explained to them they should inform customers on booking, as I would never have booked. What this hotel is scaremongering as they want to cater more for the Russian and German cliental. I still went in the pool as I won’t allow people like this to scare me. Surprise surprise nobody said nothing to me. Second no baby changing facilities AT ALL. They cannot call this a 5star when none of the staff talk adequate enough English and walk around in trainers with their uniform. The staff in the morning gave us but pure racism as my husband being Arab and as I wear a scarf they presume I was and I experienced the rudeness of being asked “what do you want” but when the Russian or German customers appeared it was nice and pleasant talk. The general customer services was just terrible. Basically if your English like me, or Arab or wearing a scarf then you are not welcome, so don’t waste your money.

We stayed in Grand Kaptan Hotel as a couple and it was a very good experience. The whole staff was very kind. We especially recommend the Spa service. Thanks to Wardana & Novi we had great professional massages. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy their services.
