Royal Day Plaza Hotel

It was a good experience during my stay at the hotel however it is a bit expensive.

Overpriced compared to the quality. The room had no windows, the sheets had stains on them, had a working air con. The breakfest was decent. So the room was like dungon, but considering I wanted to escape the dust and needed aircon to breath. I had to suck up the price. Refused to give any discount even though we arrived at the middle of the night. Asked for proces to tour the pyramids and stuff, wanted an outrages price considering it taking a taxi and paying the entrence fee was a 10th of the price they wanted to give it for.

I stay there for 16 days, I feel comfortable and safe. Overall, all staff are very nice and cute, the most important is they are very respectful of you. The security guard is 24/7 at the main lobby door. There are door man at the gate. As you can see very very safe. The front desk is 24/7 as well. Everyday, someone will come and clean your room for you. It is not very crowded just enough for you to feel comfortably and treat you nice. The location is nice, it is 30mins away from the cairo downtown but less conjuncted, so you can sleep. I will definitely come back to stay there again if I come back to Egypt.

door nop was broken, and they refused to fix it. there is no bathrobe and no sleepers they are allowed to smoke in the lobby and restaurant I cannot breath

Thought I could upload a video that I took of the remove, but only pictures area allowed. First time in Egypt & this property is about 30 minutes from Cairo. I loved my stay. The staff was friendly & super helpful. The room was very comfortable. We had the royal suite & had a living & dining room, with a two-bedroom apar**ent, with three balconies; one attached to the living room & one to each of the bedrooms, which overlooked the front of the property. Very enjoyable at night. The breakfast spread was amazing, lots of options & made to order omelette. Everything was perfect. You walk through a metal-detector upon entering, but you realize its for the safety of all. There's a game area on the first floor & a store, for gifts. The pool is nice & relaxing. Plenty of parking. There's lots of new developments happening in the area, so while it is a pretty quiet area now, in a few years it may become busier. A few restaurants literally two minutes walking distance. A lovely area, by far. Will recommend & will definitely stay here again, when in Cairo. Will be my go-to hotel. Love this place!!!

Pros: Very clean hotel (you can always see the staff cleaning). Breakfast is good, some of it is repetitive as expected. The pools are a good size and as the hotel wasn’t busy, it was nice to have the pools mostly to ourselves. A little play area for the kids including a trampoline (although a little dated). Pharmacy, cafe and local shop were all next door. Good size fridge in the room. Staff are friendly and were always willing to help. In particular, a lady who was always at the swimming pool area who would stay in the play area with the kids. Also another lady in the swimming pool area who would usually make drinks, she was always smiling and very friendly. The lounge/restaurant has a large screen tv both inside and outside where they screen football games including premier league. Cons: the towels in the room, although were clean but were no longer white. These really should be changed. Sometimes staff don’t bring you the right order (most likely because they don’t write them down) and some are quite lacking in English so sometimes a little difficult for my wife to communicate. We stayed in the suite and found the lighting in the living room to be too bright especially at night when you want to just wind down on the sofa, no lamp in sight to turn on instead. This is not a non smoking hotel (most are not in Egypt anyway) so expect guests to smoke in communal areas. Overall a good hotel but needs a few improvements to make it a great hotel.
