After reading so many good reviews I was very disappointed with this hotel especially the restaurant, apparently the restaurant is separate to the hotel, it’s only open in the evening and the gentleman that runs it is not very helpful at all, he doesn’t care about the hotel guests he’s more interested in the coach parties that arrive and take over the restaurant, leaving guests to fend for themselves no communication either from the hotel staff, shocking way to behave when running a business.

We arrived late (2330) and were greeted with a smile, which was so satisfying that we had booked a caring establishment. This was indeed true. Every member of staff met our, and we are sure would meet yours too if you book this hotel. Location is good, central for buses, shops (Especially for ladies), restaurants (some do not open on Sunday or Mondays) a supermarket, car parking. Nothing was any trouble. If you go to Caen stay here.

This hotel was exactly what we wanted! It was welcoming, friendly, efficient and clean. The rooms were plenty large and clean, and newly decorated. The breakfast was great - plenty of variety and choice, all great quality. We had dinner in the hotel for 3 nights. It was freshly cooked, tasty and reasonably priced. Stefan served us and made us very welcome. All staff were friendly and very competent. Its location was perfect for us. Easy from the port. The tram is very close for getting into Caen so you don’t need to drive. Close to the roads to visit the D-day beaches and other historic sites. We had no complaints and would return

Functional hotel in the middle of the city, ideally located to explore the city walking. With the car to reach a little costly, deep garage right around the next corner. Rooms are simple, just typical for the chain, breakfast was abundant, service was premature. There are several Ibis hotels in Caen, the probability of landing in the wrong is high.

Hotel in a quiet area, very decent bedding, possibility of making a small coffee or small kitchen. We appreciated the small terrace for the rooms on the ground floor. A little far from the city center of Caen, especially when you have walked a lot during the day, we advise you to park at the marina where there are many parking spaces. Good hotel, gentle staff. It is located in a quite central area. My room was a single, quite small but clean, but it was very special to have a bathroom shower in the bedroom, so who used the water had no great privacy. I don't know if it's just a characteristic of individuals, because I was traveling only so I didn't have any needs for privacy Breakfast was good, all in the good average.

My son booked 2 rooms 1 superior room and 1 double. Arrived could not get in. Finally someone opened the door, then we found envelopes with keys left on the side. Not a great start. Went up to the room and the room next to us had at least 12 people in shouting and screaming, however onwards in to the room. The smell as we entered was of urine, it stunk, the toilet was leaking, the balcony was disgusting and also stunk of urine. The arguing next door was getting worse, I opened the door and there was 2 men fighting, it was now feeling very unsafe we decided to just leave. It actually looked like a immigration centre , there were cars in the car park with various men in who were clearly selling stuff by the amount of people coming out of the immigration centre to go to them. Not a safe feeling for my family. The photos on the internet have clearly been photo shopped as they don’t give a true reflection of the actual rooms. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Booked another hotel in Caen the Ibis at an extra cost of £350.00 but what the hell, at least we was safe

The location is very good. Going out is the shopping street. Restaurant and Galeries Lafayette and Paris Spring Department Store. Caen is a few minutes walk to the cathedral and the city wall.

The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. It's a manifest flight.
