What a lovely hotel with exceptional staff. From the moment we arrived we received 5 star treatment, including our 2 Spaniels who got constantly fussed. The room we had (Somerset) was very spacious and the bed was even more so. The weather that weekend was atrocious, freezing temps and snow but the room was always lovely and warm. The only negative and I'm probably being picky, was the shower, a bit cramped and you had to keep the shower screen in place with your elbow when using. We had breakfast, I had the full English and my wife had the pancakes and fruit both where absolutely lovely, clean plates/ bowls all round. Top tip if you have dogs take a room on the ground or first floor is was the 3rd..... loads of stairs.

Perfect
Everything here was perfect. We had a superior double and it was beautiful. The bathroom had all the amenities you get at a five star hotel. On arrival in the room there is fresh milk, coffee, tea, biscuits and cakes for you. Netflix is provided which is great for when you get back at night to chill. The room was quiet, we did not hear any noise the whole time we were there. Toni is great at giving you advice of where to go and how to get there. The breakfast was delicious and all cooked fresh. If you want a beautiful place to stay and want to be local, do not hesitate book Chestnuts you will not be disappointed.
GGuest UserI had planned a trip to Bath with the purpose of proposing to my now fiancée. Once booking our stay here I notified the Host, Richard of my intentions and he couldn’t have been more helpful. He helped provide flowers, balloons and even a bottle of Prosecco for us to come back to after proposing. Such a beautiful and well cared for building. With such rich and beautiful history. Richard gave us great advice and knowledge of the building and surrounding areas we were planning on visiting. I couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. Richard and his beautiful Villa made it an experience we will never forget. Thank you for everything.
Room was extremely comfortable, sparkling clean, and lovely appointments. The bathroom was newly done and very nicely tiled. Plenty of hot water and places to put personal toiletries. Victoria and her staff were so friendly, and knowledgeable of Bath, and gave us wonderful information about the city and restaurants. We walked to the center of Bath without problem in about 20 minutes. The breakfast was made to order and wonderful! Victoria made sure everything was fresh, tasty, and well served. The servers were pleasant and efficient even though it was a busy time of morning. We would definitely go back and stay longer!
DDongyinglvrenThe room is very spacious, the breakfast is very rich, with Scottish characteristics slowly, the hotel is not big, it is an accommodation facility for a golf course. The lady at the front desk is very enthusiastic ❤️ It is worth staying, playing, and tasting.
JJUNCANAdvantages: Leaving the lively city center, just living on the first floor, the beautiful garden outside the window, has a really relaxing time. The room is large and the facilities are old but complete with a vintage feel. The breakfast bagel is a big highlight, and the standard breakfast is comparable to other UK hotels, which is amazingly delicious. The service staff is also very warm and friendly, but also very humorous, all kinds of jokes with me. Disadvantages: My so-called big bed is made up of two single beds, one can't sleep in the middle.
GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit far from the city center, the front desk service attitude is good, the room is clean and tidy but the facilities are a bit old. The overall feeling is that the price/performance ratio is quite high, suitable for traveling and living alone

Very Good
GGuest UserI chose this Guest House due to its proximity to the train station. I arrived later than the check-in time and was quickly given my room key and instructions by the friendly staff who were there. As this is a guesthouse, I was aware that there would be no lift and one of the staff members kindly took my bag up for me. The room was clean, quite cosy with a comfortable mattress and pillows. The towels were of a decent size and the furniture looked quite new. Room temperature was great after braving the rain and cooler days. I chose the room with private bathroom which was spotless. Breakfast was a continental style breakfast with cereals, toast, muffins, yoghurts and fruit with tea/coffee and juices also available. I would most definitely stay here again.
