A friendly welcome, a bonus having parking, very comfortable room, delicious breakfast. Loved how the room was decorated - in fact all areas that we visited. Breakfast staff were excellent juggling a full house. A very good place to stay. We would definitely return.

We booked in as a last minute stay for my partners birthday, within minutes I had a call from the owner to confirm and make all arrangements, Dorian was really friendly, organised and made everything so easy so we knew exactly what to expect on arrival The room itself was stunning but there are also so many beautiful touches from the treats left in the room, the way the towels are so beautifully patterned on the bed, an area in the lounge with an honesty bar with bottles of wine/beer and even including free pour and our favourite section is a cute little stand with pots of bath salts and body scrubs to take to the room! Everything has been so well thought of to make sure you have what you need for a perfect stay! I did mention it was my partners birthday and Dorian made sure it was extra special because of that which was a very unexpected and very welcomed suprise and made our day! Breakfast was amazing! Top quality food and they honestly can't try to feed you enough, we heard them offering us and every table in the room all sorts of extra's to really make sure people were well fed, no holding back and nothing was too much trouble, presentation and quality was so on point! The wait staff we phenominal, Dorian himself is just fab and overall our stay blew us away!

Advantages: Leaving the lively city center, just living on the first floor, the beautiful garden outside the window, has a really relaxing time. The room is large and the facilities are old but complete with a vintage feel. The breakfast bagel is a big highlight, and the standard breakfast is comparable to other UK hotels, which is amazingly delicious. The service staff is also very warm and friendly, but also very humorous, all kinds of jokes with me. Disadvantages: My so-called big bed is made up of two single beds, one can't sleep in the middle.

The hotel itself is good, but the location is really remote. In the forest halfway up the mountain, if you are alone, you have to cross a short dark forest path when you go back at night. I'm really a little scared, and I feel like it won't happen if something happens. Someone found out that a few more people might be okay

The hotel is a bit far from the city center, the front desk service attitude is good, the room is clean and tidy but the facilities are a bit old. The overall feeling is that the price/performance ratio is quite high, suitable for traveling and living alone

The room is very spacious, the breakfast is very rich, with Scottish characteristics slowly, the hotel is not big, it is an accommodation facility for a golf course. The lady at the front desk is very enthusiastic ❤️ It is worth staying, playing, and tasting.

We had asked for the room my friend had originally booked to be changed to a twin bedded room, so we were a bit surprised to find a double bed in what was obviously a room for disabled people! The property is only manned in the morning for breakfast, and we decided we’re grown ups, it’s no big deal, and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was fine except there was no option for decaffeinated coffee or tea, and the coffee was not great. So a couple of things for improvement. We didn’t find the walk into the city too onerous at all.
