Some of the reviews put me off staying here so I was tempted to book the Ibis again, however I changed my mind and booked. The room was far better than the Ibis, much more space, clean, serviced well, couldn’t fault it really, and close to our favourite bar. A few strange reception staff, one very young girl who looked us up & down & stared all the time and then the older reception guy of an evening who did his job (which I couldn’t really fault but he wasn’t interested in us). I’d stay again, great position and quiet.

This was booked last minute so went for the location and happy to go cheap and cheerful as it was only 1 night and were out all day. Given the price point most things were acceptable, nothing fancy, no frills and that’s okay. Everything was neat and very clean. The problem lies that there is no ventilation in the room. -no windows or AC. We didn’t notice until late at night, after dinner. There is a random door to the garden and car park outside but no screen and no way we were going to leave it open through the night. So of course the room got stuffy and uncomfortable to sleep in. Not sure on the laws in France but think rooms should offer some form of ventilation.

AVOID Don't stay in this hotel if: you like your room dark, your beds not creaky, but most of all if you would like your hotel to take responsibility for other guests being able to enter your room during the night. Around 2:30 PM we were woken up by another (drunk) guest in our room, who was accompanied by a group of friends outside. My wife was terrified. Safe to say we did not sleep much after that. The next day we took this up with the reception, where security footage showed that the door opened by itself in the early hours of the night. The door had been closed properly and locked. The hotel proceeded to do their very best to put the blame for this occurrence on us and on the guest entering our room in the middle of the night, even when it turned out the door-closing mechanism was faulty as it was not screwed onto the door. The hotel manager even tried to downplay the fact that the door-closing mechanism was faulty to us. Then, the email address they provided to us to escalate our complaint bounced (yes, we double-checked the spelling). As a result, we've lost all trust in this hotel, and we'd not be surprised if they try to blame us again for the door opening by itself due to a faulty door-closing mechanism in the middle of the night in a response below. At least none of our things were taken and my wife wasn't alone in the room. It could have been much worse than a few lost hours of sleep. We will never stay in any Vacancéole property ever again. We'd recommend you to do the same.

A hotel where the director is at your aesthetic point, exquisite, stylish but warm and welcoming, super recommended! The hostess will personally prepare breakfast for us and send us champagne. Our suite has two bedrooms, one with two small beds and two cute bear cubs, the other large room with a beautiful rain-after-rain roof, two rooms connected by stairs, and a romantic bathroom in the middle. Said will give her a big praise, praise her good taste and serious attitude (ps, and her meticulous clothing and hairstyle)

Stayed here for one night as a stopover, there’s an underground car park which is a couple of minutes walk away and costs around 15 eur for 24 hours. Hotel is clean and modern, comfy bed and great shower. Can’t complain at all - all very comfortable and location is perfect in the middle of town. Didn’t have the breakfast but there’s a good bakery in town 5 minutes walk away where you can get coffee , sandwiches and pastries.

Modern property in a quiet corner on the opposite bank of the river from the town centre. Room was fine, and breakfast was very good. Safe parking. Nowhere anywhere near to eat (well, except McDonalds and Burger King). Our Satnav (Waze) didn't have the position quite right, and tried to take us on well beyond the driveway.
