Hotel Parque Real

We have been 3 nights, to spend the end of the year, so we have taken the gala dinner and breakfast 3 days. It is located at the entrance of the Royal City, 10 minutes walk from the center. The hotel is not very large, but has very good common areas, swimming pool, garden, several meeting rooms. The rooms are large and clean, as well as the bathroom. The small breakfast room with a right buffet, basic but good. The friendly room, the buffet room, the coffee shop girl doesn't speak. The coffee shop service is good, sandwich, cake, and some more. Not very expensive pleasant reception. The dinner of the end of the year, improved, is not bad, but is not anything special. Just the first meal, something more elaborate [concha with rug and vieira] The cream was good but cold. The blue cordon, very regular. Good afternoon. The hotel was very good and the hotel was very good.
Cumbria Spa Hotel

I have travelled specifically to this hotel because of the SPA options it offers, just to find me that Sunday afternoon the SPA does not open, and Monday morning the SPA is closed for maintenance. I have travelled to Real City for nothing, especially frustrating that no one in the hotel has information about the SPA if it is not the person responsible for receiving the SPA. To the extent that you cannot inform the customer of, for example, whether that Monday is the one that the SPA will be closed for maintenance. The SPA manager, on his part, washs his hands over the whole matter by saying she has no information about the guests staying in the hotel and whether they want to use the SPA or not. The information is only received when the guests book the room with access to the SPA, an option that is only available on the hotel's own website, but not on *********** where I made the reservation. On the other hand, the SPA's antiquate web site does not indicate any timetable information (or at least 20 minutes after I can't find it anywhere) or information about closure calendars, and in fact for bookings and contacts offer only the option of a telephone contact and a contact form to call you. In short, the lack of service and information offered by the hotel is ridiculous because of the lack of communication capacity between departments, and of course it seems pathetic to have travelled 2 hours from Madrid to Real City for absolutely nothing.

Very unhappy that we could not access the hotel on our arrival due to roads being closed off as the annual carnaval was taking place. We could not park anywhere nearby due to the busyness, so had to drive out of the city and waste away a couple of hours until the roads reopened. Had the hotel had the courtesy to inform us in advance, we could have planned our arrival time accordingly and used our time to better. The hotel was apologetic and did not charge for using the underground car park, but it quite spoiled our visit. On top of that, the superior room was very basic, small and warm, though the bed was comfortable. Breakfast buffet was nicely laid out, but the two staff members were concentrating on a group booking in a side room. Hence the coffee machine had run out, the jug of hot milk had disappeared and there was no bottle opener for the milk shake drink. Once attended to the staff were friendly despite being stretched between two rooms.

We was stayed only one night. I comment my experience. The garage was comfortable and easy to park. the rooms were correctly, but not very new. The ubication was perfectly. You can comfortably walk anywhere in the city center. But the best for my was de Breakfast. One of the best breakfast in a hotel throughout my life.

Hotel Spanish features, parking has a dedicated underground garage, the room is the right size, the seat is very comfortable. There is a small balcony. It is just too close to the road, a bit noisy.

We thought a place named Ciudad Real (the royal city) would be something to see. We were wrong, it is really underwhelming and not really worth a detour but the one positive thing we can say about it is we ate well and we slept well. The hotel was really nice, with comfortable quiet room even though it was located in the city center. If you really have to go to Ciudad Real, then this is the place.
