B&B HOTEL Mülheim an der Ruhr
3.9/520 Reviews
Overall this hotel does exactly what it advertises, no more, no less. I was put in my own double by myself which was excellent and it had exactly everything I needed, a bed, a small but functional bathroom, space to store your items, small table, WiFi plus TV. The bed was well stocked with pillows, loads of sanitiser everywhere, and I had two comfortable nights in the hotel, I was booked breakfast which was classic German and there's enough space to sit down and eat your food and drink your drink. You don't need a key card but you do need a keycode, so make sure you take a picture of your number because to get it back you need ID, luckily receptionist was very helpful and accepted a photo of my ID. It's not too far from the town centre and well connected by rail, don't let the road or rail nearby put you off, I didn't hear a thing as it's in a quieter neighbourhood. The WiFi test, very good, bit laggy at times, but as I said, does the job and no messy sign in forms!

the hotel is located in very convenient place where subway and train are connected. Further, there are everything around Hotel such as restaurant, shops pharmacy etc. especially, the location of COVID test is very nearby in case you need to take. Staff are very friendly and willing to help the guest.
Minsu Hotel

Because of the very good transport connections, we chose the Minsu Hotel. Also because the paths to the center and to the hotel were very short and cheap. We were very satisfied with the room, the equipment, the fresh breakfast with the great fruit salad (and it was asked for breakfast as we wished), the room service and all the staff. We were welcomed friendly and warmly. The hotel is very recommendable and we are also happy to come back. The room with balcony has very well enjoyed.
Holiday Inn Express Mulheim - Ruhr, an IHG Hotel
4.2/537 Reviews
Holiday Inn Express is a simple concept of the normal Holiday Inn, by adding the word Express. The staff is very friendly but under-occupied. The room is small but not too small. The facility is modern, tasteful and clean. Quality bed is good. This also applies to the narrow bathroom. On request, dental brush, dental paste and cutting supplies are available. A safe is not available. The room is air conditioned. Dreaming chair is available. It is strange that the receptionist asked whether the room should be cleaned daily, and the receptionist reported that the room was cleaned while a non-disturbed card was placed. The breakfast is very easy compared to the normal Holiday Inn. Quality coffee is very variable, one time good and the other time very watery. A small bar is available and a computer for guests is available. Parking, including for disabled people, is available in the public parking garage for €12/dag (not per 24 hours), with the parking garage directly connected to the hotel. However, the receptionist did not give a description of the use, which caused several problems with entry and exit. For about €100/dag the price-quality ratio is relatively good. Late checkout can be obtained from a free IHG membership.
Hotel Friederike

At my request, I had received a ”room on a high floor”, and that was a great choice: I had room 42, the only room on the fourth (and the highest) floor. The room is, in my view, the largest in the entire hotel's surface area, and it consists in fact of several rooms (sleep area, bathroom, toilet) on the whole fourth floor, with a balcony. All was in a good condition: hygienic clean, without damage, spacious shower cell, etc. HOW: there is a turning side, important for people who are less good at the legs, and/or have heavy baggage with them! There is no lift in the hotel, so room 42 requires a few steps to walk ... In the current corona conditions, it all goes something different from the usual, of course: In the entire hotel (in public spaces, e.g. at the reception or in the staircase) a mouthpiece must be carried, and breakfast must be requested in advance by means of a form (what kinds of bread, what drinks, what bread ink, etc.). But then it works very practical in the morning: you register (at the time you want and indicated) in the breakfast room, you get a table assigned, and you get the ordered breakfast served at the table.

It was not kingsize bed... there were 2 beds together. Had no head restraint as on the photos and we had 2 separate covers!
