Ok firstly! bravo to this hotel! outstanding service, outstanding rooms. beds are soooo comfy, views are amazing. Compliments to the chef! breakfast is fresh, good quality and lots of options from eggs to pastries, to fruit and a menu of other delights. and to top it off, the staff at the hotel are welcoming and very helpful and polite. beach is lovely, great service, beds and towels given. 15mins walk to centre. Can’t praise the hotel enough! would definitely chose this hotel again. the hotel looks exactly like the pictures unlike some hotels on here! pool is a cute relaxing space to chill out!
Grifid Arabella Hotel - Ultra All inclusive & Aquapark

I spent an end of summer week (23-29 Sept) here with my husband. The hotel was not full and although it still had plenty of guests you could feel that it was the end of season for them (the hotel was closing down for the season on Oct 2nd). The room was nice with a lovely sea view and the bed very good. On the downside the air conditioning was very noisy and for the whole week we were subject to a faulty toilet cistern that just kept on running continuously (we reported it the first day) but it was never solved. The food wasn't bad but certainly not exceptional and very repetitive. During our week there we experienced the Italian restaurant and the Asia restaurant also but neither service nor food was exceptional. The sun umbrellas were taken down at the beach on our first day despite being part of our package (2 sunbeds and a parasol) - we were told with a shrug of the shoulder ”end of season”... The downstairs night bar was open the first couple of nights then closed! The lobby bar ran out of different drinks as the week advanced and on several occasions the coffee cups were unclean with traces of lipstick! However despite all this I would say we had a good week, that is until the moment of check out. We were to check out of our room by 15:00 hrs rather than the standard 11:00 (courtesy of the hotel - definitely a+) and I admit we were 5 mins late leaving the room but definitely no longer than that. In the lobby we locked our cases and processed our check out and then stored our cases in the left luggage until our departure from the hotel at 18:30 At 18:15 we went to collect our cases and in that instant my husband remembered he had left his jacket in the hotel room behind the door, above the case rack. We mentioned this to the receptionist on duty who was pretty unhelpful but after some insistance sent someone to check the room. They came back empty handed and said there was no jacket. The receptionist gave me an email address and told me to write to them. We had no choice but to leave as there was a bus load of people waiting to get to the airport and we were holding them up. As advised I wrote to the hotel and got a very quick reply which basically said there was no jacket and that they had total confidence in their staff/workers and the hotel was not responsible!!! Personally I beg to differ, yes my husband forgot his jacket BUT it was in the room when we left at 15:05 but apparently not at 18:15 (3 hours later) and it certainly did not vanish into thin air. My 2nd email went unanswered and to this day I have heard nothing more. The whole incident has left us with a feeling of great disappointment.
Hotel Estreya Palace

No staff available to help with the luggage on arrival at the hotel and we were left struggling to find our own way to where the room was located. The swimming pool wasn't very clean and the sunbeds did not have mattresses so were very uncomfortable. Pool towels were not available either. The food was palatable but not hot and food was plated up by members of staff. Also there was no air conditioning or wifi as advertised. WiFi only in the main reception area and the room was too hot for comfort. The most disappointing part of my stay at Estreya Palace was finding that someone had let themselves into my room as I went to breakfast on the last day of my holiday, and stolen several items including my jewellery. Be careful what you leave out and make sure that any valuables are kept locked away or in a safe.

Varna City Center
Absolut empfehlenswert.

The hotel is very cheap and the showers are beautifully strong and quickly warm, which was not everywhere in Bulgaria. Also the minibar in the room has various snacks when you arrive late and nothing more open is super. Unfortunately, the good review ends with this. The room and the whole hotel is extremely old. The worst was the strong smell after distant smoke in the room. I am also a smoker myself, but this smell in the bedroom doesn't go at all. The floor was also very sticky, almost like in a club. The area is rather left, I arrived around 21:30 and there is no shop or restaurant anywhere. I booked 2 nights but after 1 night I'm in a just a little more expensive hotel near the city center, which is excellent. If one doesn't disturb smoke and for one night it's okay, but I'm better paying CHF 20. - more and have a more friendly, pleasant accommodation for it.
Primorski Hotel

We visited Primorski Hotel in September and we absolutely loved it! It is located in a beautiful area, very close to the beach, surrounded by trees on both sides and facing the sea coast. Oh, and it has an amazing garden in its courtyard - very Instagramable along with the architecture of the building 👌 (if that is what you are looking for 😄). You can sit there by the clock in one of the two cafes and have a drink, meal or ice cream and enjoy the view. It is visited by locals too. We stayed in a Standard room looking towards the gardens and it had a pretty big balcony, so we were able to sit there in the evening and sip some wine. The design of the room is minimalistic, very stylish and airy. It makes the rooms feel very spacious and yet cozy. Great bonus to the stay was the free entrance in Aqua House. Every guest gets an access to the mineral water pools there and one of the saunas. At last but not least we were amazed by the staff and their politness. They answered each and every question, request and expectation! We would love to go back! 😊
