From June 25 to July 21, 2026, the Florence Dance Festival returns to the enchanting Maggiore Cloister of the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, marking its 37th edition. As a global stage, the festival welcomes artists, groups, and choreographers from around the world, from established figures to emerging talents. At the heart of the festival is the iconic stage of the Santa Maria Novella Convent, where dance companies from Italy and around the world will perform. A highlight of the festival is the presentation of the "Flying Mercurio Award" (Price Mercurio Volante), established in 2011 to recognize outstanding individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the development and achievements of the art of dance.
