Milan Fashion Week originated in 1958 and is one of the four major fashion weeks, organized by the Italian National Chamber of Fashion (Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana). It is held twice a year: the Autumn/Winter fashion week in February/March and the Spring/Summer fashion week in September/October of the following year.

Milan Music Week, Milan's most important music and cultural festival, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Organized by the Milan Ministry of Culture, the event collaborates with major Italian music organizations such as Assoconcerti, Assomusica, FIMI, Nuovo IMAIE, and SIAE. The 2026 Milan Film Festival, a major cultural and artistic event in Milan, Italy, will run for the fourth time from July 27 to September 30, with the theme "Women's Creativity in Early Cinema." This festival, a unique art form combining silent film screenings with live music performances, will be held at venues including the Chiesa Rossa Church, Casa di Quartiere Tibaldi, and the Fra Cristoforo Library. The program will screen classic and rare early films by female directors and creative figures such as Fritz Lang's *Metropolis*, Elvira Notari, Mabel Normand, and Francesca Bertini, accompanied by musical scores composed by Rossella Spinosa and performed live by the Lombard Soloists. Workshops on mime and sound design for children and teenagers will also be offered. All activities are free and open to the public.
