Dolce by Wyndham Milan Malpensa

Stayed overnight for our early flight home to the US. Front desk person was very efficient and kind. The room was particularly large for an European hotel—great mattress. Very clean. Helpful staff. Great place if you need a no frills, clean and comfortable place to stay while overnighting. Hotel has a free shuttle but a reservation is a must. Didn’t know that but they went out of their way to accommodate. Definitely mail use again if needed for this purpose.

We stayed here our last night in Italy to be close to the airport and make the next morning as easy as possible. This place was great. You just call the shuttle to pick you up when you need and schedule your time to take it on the return trip when you check in. Nice breakfast offering, and there’s a good restaurant open on the corner for a late dinner. The night we stayed (Wednesday) they were open until 10:30. Would definitely recommend for the value. Very affordable and the staff were very friendly. Clean rooms and good water pressure.

Holiday Inn Express Milan - Malpensa Airport

Quite a nice spot if you have to catch an early flight at Malpensa. Although there’s no shuttles provided by the hotel, the airport terminal bus is very convenient. The station “casa nueva” is between terminal 1 and 2, very convenient to reach and it takes only 3 minutes to walk from the bus station to the hotel. We didn’t dine at the hotel restaurant, but the buffet breakfast is simple and nice. There are some restaurants nearby within 5-min walking distance, great deal and tasty! The bed is super large and the shower is very comfortable. The only problem is probably the Wi-Fi, a bit slow and difficult to catch the signal in rooms.

I would like to express my utmost disappointment with my stay at this hotel. In my 20-plus years of traveling, this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I checked in around 6 PM, completed all the usual procedures, including a document check, and paid what I believe was a city tax. I later had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. To my surprise, around midnight—at approximately 12:30 AM—my phone started ringing, followed by a knock at the door from the hotel receptionist, asking for my reservation details. I expressed my displeasure at being disturbed at such an hour, as this could have easily waited until checkout. However, she insisted that I show the details immediately and even asked me to come down to the front desk for further verification, which I reluctantly did. I demand an explanation from the hotel management as to why I was woken up at such an odd hour, especially when I had booked a room specifically for a night of uninterrupted sleep. Otherwise, I could have spent the night for free at the airport terminal.
Hotel Ristorante Cervo Malpensa

This family-owned hotel is not glamorous but is nicely furnished with spotless, well maintained rooms. Bed linens are nice with comforters matching the draperies, tall windows that give an air of spaciousness. Our room opened onto the paved courtyard which is gated to the street. Bath towels are generously sized and the bathroom was also spotless. This was not a large room (we had a twin) but it had a built in luggage rack, desk, tall wardrobe and also hooks on the wall for coats. NIghtstands with sconces over them were by each bed. The family work hard to meet requests and make guests comfortable. Restaurant portions are generous; we found we could not hold a primi and a secondi as the pastas and risottos were so ample. The restaurant uses good quality ingredients and does not attempt things they cannot handle so while the meals are comforting and delicious they are good basic “mama” cooking. I am a tough “grader” so gave it a four because it is not grand but it is very comfortable and very, very reasonable. It is a five for value.
