Xiamen City Ruins, I feel good for the first time
The ancient city site of Xiamen is very small, and the most valuable natural relics of Xiamen City are the ancient city wall site. Built in Ming Hongwu 27 years (1394) Xiamen City, the original circumference about 1360 meters, about 6 meters high, Jiguang about 2.9 meters, the city gate four - Dongguan Qiming, Xiqiao Huaiyin, Nanqiao Qiade, Beibei Shu. Qing Kangxi 22 years (1683) by Shi Yu expansion. The ancient city wall was demolished in the first round of municipal construction in the 1920s. Today, a section of the stone wall in the north gate is preserved, about 80 meters long, with a ceiling width of 3.5-6 meters, and east-west direction. The highest point of the city wall has a wide platform, an area of about 100 square meters, and the on the eastern section of the city wall was rebuilt when the site was rebuilt in 1994. In 1982, it was listed as the first municipal cultural relics protection unit. The existing section of the city wall is located on the hill behind the city public security bureau building on the north side of Xinhua Road. Enter from the back of Lingxiu Zhongshan or the exit Miyan alley next to Yuannan Elementary School, and then walk about 100 meters to arrive. Although the space is relatively wide, it is due to lack of management. Today it has become a temporary parking lot, surrounded by domestic garbage. It was proposed to open up the ancient city wall area as an ancient city ruins park and Zhongshan Park to connect, but later it was not possible.
