Wuzhi Memorial Archway

Wuzhimen is one of the Lingshan gates. It comes in from the gate of the big scenic spot. It is not far away. When you go, you will encounter several archways, or they are. This is the so-called feeling of some advanced steps. Behind this door is a bridge that can lead to the core area. This door is not particularly distinctive, it seems to be made of granite.

Wuzhimen is a large stone archway with a deep Buddhist cultural connotation, and is said to share more than 1,000 tons of granite rock. The north and south sides of the archway are engraved with six groups of words: "Bushi, hold the commandment, endure the humiliation, refinement, Zen, and Prayuo." This is the six codes of conduct for the Buddhists to achieve the wisdom of the Buddha, called "six degrees". Each of the five gates is carved from a whole granite, and each pillar has a mighty stone lion (the lion roar is a symbol of the four-way transmission of the Fa in Buddhism). There is also a couplet between famous people on both sides of the doorpost. The day we went was the birthday of Buddha Sakyamuni (May 14, 2016, the eighth month of the lunar calendar). The red carpet was laid under the Wuzhimen and many flowers were placed. Everyone was in good spirits.

Only the Buddhist disciples can understand the meaning. For a layman like me, it is just a scenery. It is raining heavily in the world. There is no interest in taking pictures. Fortunately, there is no snow.

Just entering the gate is not far from this five-character gate, the specific meaning is not understood at all, it looks quite religious. Going inside, there are many attractions, you can take a closer look.
