Baiyi Village Scenic Resort

Baiyi Village is located 10.5 kilometers north of Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County in Hubei Province. The total area of the top of the village is 20 square kilometers. The main peak, Heifengjian, is 2320.3 meters above sea level. The scenic area is an ancient mountain village with cliffs on all sides, which is the military pass and headquarters of the leaders of the ancient Tujia tribes. Baiyizhai Lake Ping is rich in cultural relics. The ancient Tusi Yamen, Yuegong Bridge, Wanghu Tower and Fairy Temple have a history of hundreds of years, and the relics still exist. The village has a strong Tujia style, dancing mourning dances, putting wind lanterns, and singing hall operas, which are still popular today. Forty-eight springs spewed from the village and merged into a clear stream. The water quality was peculiar, and it was a rare strontium-rich and low-sodium mineral water in China. There is a mineral water plant with an annual output of 3,000 tons. Baiyi Village has been a military fortress for Tujia ancestors to resist foreign invasion in ancient times. Since ancient times, there are four gates in the south, south, north and west guarding the entrances around the cliff, and there are ancient military sites such as forts, passes, and village gates. The most majestic is the site of "Shuaifu" built by the Tusi Tang Zhenbang in the late Ming Dynasty, known as "Tibetan Army Cave". On the other hand, it was called "48 steps to the Golden Temple" in ancient times.
