Yingze Street

Yingze Street is a longer, wider, more spectacular and more prosperous street in Taiyuan. It is also the landmark, traffic and landscape main road of Taiyuan City. The ten-mile-long Yingze Street was created by widening, straightening, paving stones and sprinkling oil on an ancient road outside the southern city wall of the original Taiyuan City. The ancient road that has been along the southern city wall for thousands of years and connected the traffic between the two gates outside the city was originally a rough and muddy dirt road. This dirt road connects two well-known ancient traffic routes "Dongguan Road" and "Xiguan Road" that start from Taiyuan, go to Hedong in the south, and exit Niangziguan in the east. Along the road are Taiyuan Railway Station, Wuyi Square, Yingze Park, Taiyuan Workers' Cultural Palace, Yingze Hotel, Bingzhou Hotel, China Coal Museum, Taiyuan University of Technology and other landmark buildings. Today, Yingze Street has been transformed and is still the widest street in Taiyuan City. It has become one of the symbols of Taiyuan City.
