Xinghai Park, located in the southwest of Shahekou District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, on the west side of Xinghai Square, was built by Nanmanzhou Railway Co., Ltd. in 1909, when it was called "Xinggepu Garden", and changed its name in 1945. Because there is a "foreign stone" that shows the water in the bay, it is called "star stone". So this area is called "Star Bay", which is also the name of Xinghai Park. Xinghai Park covers an area of 15 hectares (i.e. 150,000 square meters), is the largest seaside park in the city, consisting of coastal parks and beaches.
