Nice good view of Shima Ago bay from observatory deck
were first here in 2014. Had a nice view of Shima Ago bay to the south. There were more cars and the car park uphill was full. From the car park, the deck is abt 5 min walk up via the wooden terrace o...
Yokoyama Observatory is located above this visitor center. There are about 10 parking lots in front of this center, and you can't park here first because it's always full. To go to the observatory, the parking lot of about 20 cars next to the observatory is the most convenient, but it is always full. There is enough parking space from the visitor center to about 100 m, so parking there will make effective use of your time. This visitor center is free holiday ...
The rest house on the observatory was very crowded, and I was able to take a cool break while watching the exhibition here. You can also show me virtual. I felt that it was quite devised.
The parking lot here is recommended to the observatory.

You can reach Yokoyama Observatory in about 15 on foot. There are several parking lots. The road from here to Yokoyama Observatory is thin and proceeds while giving up with oncoming vehicles. If you don't drive yourself, you should park your car at the visitor center and walk. There is also a toilet.
Climb a small hill a little off the main national highway 167 that runs through the Shima Peninsula. It is a so-called that the mountain view seen from the sea looks horizontally long. It is a trailhead for multiple observatorys, and is naturally more vacant than the parking lot at a higher place. It is a facility for tourist information and breaks, but as the name "Visitor Center" shows, it is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of the Environment.
