Lingkong Mountain

Lingkong Mountain Scenic Area is located in Lingkongshan Town, northwest of Qinyuan County, with Guxian County in the south, Huo Mountain in the west, and Gypsum Mountain in the north. It belongs to the Taiyue Mountains, with a total area of 15.44 square kilometers. The territory is surrounded by verdant peaks, vast forests and seas, and everywhere as far as the eye can see, the forests are dyed and green, so it has the reputation of "natural oxygen bar". The special natural ecological environment has made Lingkong Mountain a "paradox garden" with thousands of peaks competing for beauty, verdant trees, pure air, and the fragrance of birds and flowers. The topographic features of Lingkong Mountain Scenic Area are shaped like a huge mushroom, with three canyons intersecting in the middle, which are distributed in the shape of "Ya". Among them, the Fengdonggou canyon is longer, about 5 kilometers, and the Caogou and the General's Tomb Valley are each 3.5 kilometers. Fengdonggou is known as "Longyou Scenic Spot", Caogou is known as "Butterfly Valley", and General's Tomb Valley is known as "Ten Mile Gallery". There are nearly 50 scenic spots in Lingkong Mountain Scenic Area. Experts divide them into six types: the first category is rare ancient trees, including "the king of pines in the world" Jiuding pine (nine-pole flag), and ancient pine "one incense burner" , "Three Kings", "Beckoning Pine", "One Buddha and Two Bodhisattvas", "Huh Ha Two Generals", and "Spruce of the Four Dynasties" born in Yuan, Ming, Qing, and the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and there are also several giant pine trees in the mountains. Hundreds of plants, all of which are extraordinary and spectacular. Among them, "Jiuding Pine" and "Spruce of the Four Dynasties" are known as Spiritual Sky Shuangjue, which are rare in the world. The second category is ancient buildings. There are six courtyards of "Shengshou Temple" founded in Tang Dynasty, Luan Bridge, Xianqiao, Mao Nunnery, East Bell Tower, Tang Wang Temple, Jingshen Kiln, Wenshu Temple, Song Dynasty Stone Carving, Wulong Temple, etc. The third category is the combination of dragon legend and nature. There are Pantao Concave, Wulongchi, Gaihai Cave, Wulong Cave, Longmu Cave, Longji, Longdan, Longwei and so on. The fourth category is the famous monuments, including Tang Wangzhai, Zangbing Cave, Sheshen Cliff, One Line Sky, and General Tomb. The fifth category is other natural scenic spots, including Dengyun Road, Ganlu Spring, Wolong Cave, Shibapan, Wind Cave, Spiral Mouth and Pinnacle Peak. The sixth category is the beautiful scenery, including listening to pines in the middle of the night, emeralds in the spiritual sky, red leaves in autumn mountains, green pines pressed by snow, morning fog in spring forests, and rainy rain in high summer. For thousands of years, many tourists have come here, not only to appreciate the magical creation of Lingkong Mountain by nature, but also to worship here as a Buddhist resort for self-cultivation and pray for blessings. Since the Tang Dynasty, Lingkong Mountain has become the first choice for the rich and powerful of all dynasties to obtain the immortal energy, occupy the charm, protect the fortune, and pray for the blessing of the longevity because of the "father Bodhisattva" Li Kan.
