Area along the water

Walk through here to a shopping complex, biggest in Puerto Montt. Nicest area is along the water but lots of stray dogs. They cannot be good.

a tad unpleasant

We walked all the way from the shopping center to the port, a good 20 to 30 minute walk. Unfortunately, maybe it is not the norm, but the street was dirty, lots of homeless, stray dogs, funny smell...

Nice walk along the coast

This is a pleasant place to walk along the coast and look out at the harbor. A few places to sit and enjoy the view.

Pleasant stroll

We visited Puerto Montt as part of a shore excursion from our cruise. There wasn't a lot to see or do there, but the walk along the seafront was nice.

Picturesque

Beautiful stroll watching the port activities, merchants, market. A must! Locals are friendly and engage you in conversation. Great experience in Puerto Montt.
