When I pilgrimage in quick succession, it was a temple with no special features that didn't leave much impression on me. The impression of Unbeji Temple in the previous fudasho and the Honzanji Temple that pilgrimage to the next is strong, and ... After returning to Kyoto, I can't remember the temple unless I look at the photos. Even so, this temple is one of the oldest temples in Shikoku sacred places that have been built 1280 for over a year. It is said that it was built in 742 AD as the last temple of Todaiji Temple. This is also the destroyer of Shikoku cultural properties, the slaughterer chosokabe who has an unsuitable ambition. ...
I went there for the first time on a tour of Shikoku Sacred Grounds. When I parked my car in the parking lot and climbed the stone steps from Niomon, there was a main hall in front of me, and there was also a sutra office right next door where I could see this. There was Daishido on the left. I used the toilet, but it was very clean.
I rented an electric bicycle at the tourist information center in front of Kannonji Station and stopped by after Unbeji Temple. The road from Unbeji Temple was comfortable on a slope, but the location was very difficult to understand in the village and I was lost 々. When I entered the temple gate, there was a staircase and it was a quaint temple.
the statue of nio in the niomon gate is wonderful.

It is a masterpiece by the powerful Nio statue and Unkei. The temple tower is not very impressive. The temple itself was built, 1300 It is an old temple that is less than a year old. However, this place was destroyed by the barbaric bravery of Shikoku and the destroyer Chosokabe, and the cultural property is not a national treasure.
