The People's Bank of China Taizhou Branch Former Site Exhibition Hall

The former site of Bank of China Taizhou Sub-branch is located on Ziyang Street, Linhai. It is the earliest bank in Linhai during the Republic of China. The first floor of the exhibition hall is the business place and the second floor is the exhibition area. The building is a two-story wooden courtyard house.

This trip to Taizhou, Linhaifucheng brought us too many surprises. The former site of the Taizhou Sub-branch of the People's Bank of China is located in the middle of the Ziyang Street of Linhaifucheng. The whole gallery was restored to the original appearance of liberation, old lamps, abacus, poles, mottled information cabinets, rusted safes, high counters, all furniture, all restored according to the original appearance, and brought people to the bank in the middle of the last century. The bank in my memory seems to have these traces when I was a child. The exhibition hall is divided into two floors, all of which are wooden. Downstairs is the office hall, and upstairs is the exhibition hall. It introduces the development history of the bank, and displays the documents, notices, certificates and various sets of currencies used by the personnel at that time.

Located at 249 Ziyang Street, the architectural style of the Republic of China is the financial center of Taizhou area after the establishment of New China. The exhibition hall is only two floors high and the area is not large. It is recommended to visit for about 15~30 minutes.
