乐山大佛碑刻位于四川省乐山市岷江东岸乐山大佛景区右侧，1984年发现的《嘉州凌云寺大弥勒石像记》摩崖碑刻，是唐德宗时期剑南西川节度使韦皋记叙世界第一大佛建造始末的记事碑。碑在岷江悬崖上，碑额有螭形浮雕，高约7米，宽约4米，阴刻碑文800多字，每字E四寸见方，乃張焯以行楷书就，是唯一关于大佛的原始文字资料，是权威资料宝贝。

乐山大佛临江峭壁伫立了多少年就有数不清的文人墨客到此题壁！疫情期间游客不多喜欢字画的旅客可以静静欣赏一下！历数古往今来的墨宝！与大佛一起历经沧桑。虽然经年累月的侵蚀，石刻依然清晰，也成就了名副其实的5A景区！

乐山大佛景区，距离市区不太远。进入景区，除过著名的佛像雕塑外，碑刻也是很有名气的。大佛胸部的藏经洞封门石是宋代重建天宁阁的纪事残碑。唐代大佛竣工后，曾建有木阁覆盖保护，以免日晒雨淋。
